The Sage of Six Paths is known to be one of the most legendary figures in the world of Naruto. He was properly introduced to the fans in the original series, and his strength was revealed to be absolutely legendary. Born with the power of the fabled Rinnegan, the Sage of Six Paths possessed godly powers, the likes of which could not be rivaled by many. In fact, his overall strength could even be said to rival that of Kaguya Otsutsuki, and some would argue even higher than hers. The Sage of Six Paths possessed such powers that he was considered a God, and it was through him that the kind of Shinobi started existing in the first place.
Boruto: Kishimoto Has Already Confirmed The Strongest Jinchuriki, And It Isn't Naruto
Naruto is a strong Jinchuriki, but he isn't the strongest in Naruto.
While he was truly overpowered, the scaling in Boruto has undergone tremendous changes. Powerful individuals have popped up and some of them are even on the level of the Sage of Six Paths, while some others have even gone on to surpass him. The latest ninja who has managed to achieve this feat is none other than Naruto Uzumaki himself. At the moment, only one ninja in Naruto has managed to surpass the level of the Sage of Six Paths, and that is the beloved Seventh Hokage, who did so after achieving the power of Baryon Mode.
The Sage Of Six Paths Was The Strongest In Naruto

When it comes to the incredible strength of the Sage of Six Paths, fans know that he was born with the powers of Kaguya Otsutsuki. Kaguya was a very powerful Otsutsuki around the same level as Isshiki, possibly only slightly weaker. However, she went on to consume the chakra fruit of planet Earth, and this gave her even more tremendous powers. She eventually gave birth to Hagoromo and Hamura, and it was Hagoromo who inherited the immense power of the Rinnegan.
This place... This earth is my precious nursery. I cannot allow you to damage it anymore. Here, I shall erase you all from existence right now. All chakra belongs to me! Once again, all chakra shall become one. Hagoromo, Hamura. You betrayed me. I shall reclaim my chakra. — Kaguya Otsutsuki, Naruto
Eventually, both Hagoromo and Hamura combined their strengths to defeat Kaguya. However, it was only after this point that Hagoromo became the Jinchuriki of the Ten Tails, which gave him an even bigger strength boost. Hagoromo's strength was such that his Rinnegan was actually classified as a Kekkei Mora instead of being a Kekkei Genkai. This goes to show that his powers were special. On top of having the godly powers of the Rinnegan and the abilities of the Ten Tails, Hagoromo also had the power of Creation of all Things, which allowed him to essentially create life like a true god.
His full strength was absolutely magnificent, but fans do have a particular point to scale him. Even at his best, Hagoromo could not defeat Kaguya Otsutsuki on his own. He openly admitted that Kaguya was stronger than him, and that is why he required help from Hamura to beat her. At the same time, it must also be kept in mind that even though Hagoromo was given a Ten-Tails amp on top, his powers would most certainly not surpass those of Isshiki Otsutsuki.
Still, it is undeniable that Hagoromo Otsutsuki, or the Sage of Six Paths, was the strongest character in the entirety of the Naruto series, with powers far surpassing those of Madara and even Naruto and Sasuke combined.
Naruto Uzumaki Has Surpassed The Sage Of Six Paths With Baryon Mode

In the Boruto series, one particular character has gone on to surpass the levels of Hagoromo Otsutsuki, and that is none other than Naruto Uzumaki. This might seem bizarre to the fans at first, but it is quite easy to understand how this became the case. As stated previously, Hagoromo was still weaker than Kaguya Otsutsuki when the two fought.
He did become the Jinchuriki of the Ten Tails after, which would have given him a significant amp and possibly made him stronger than Kaguya, but he would still be weaker than Isshiki, who was also said to be considerably stronger than Kaguya.
This power is immense. It should definitely surpass his. But the drawbacks are too great. You see, the fact that it drains our lifespan is the key here. Boruto: A Shinobi Stronger Than Even Naruto Is Already Confirmed By Kishimoto
Naruto Uzumaki is one of the strongest characters in the Naruto and Boruto series. Kishimoto reveals a Shinobi even stronger than him.
Once Naruto tapped into the power of Baryon Mode, that is, the ability to utilize his own as well as Kurama's chakra as kernels for sourcing a new energy akin to nuclear power, Naruto's strength reached a completely new level. In fact, with the power of Baryon Mode, Kurama confidently said that his overall power surpassed that of Isshiki by a mile. This was also evident throughout their fight. As long as Naruto was fighting at his peak power, he was overwhelming Isshiki completely. Ishiki was not even able to land a single hit on him, and Naruto absolutely dominated this battle from start to finish.
Given the fact that Naruto Uzumaki achieved power greater than Isshiki Otsutsuki during this brief stint, it goes without saying that he was also stronger than Hagoromo Otsutsuki. Of course, Naruto did not have the hax abilities of Hagoromo, such as Creation of All Things, but in terms of raw power and overall strength, he was certainly superior to him and that is a proven fact that cannot be disputed.
Naruto Uzumaki Was Severely Nerfed In Boruto
Unfortunately, Naruto Uzumaki's luck has run out, and he's been reduced to a shell of his former self. This is truly sad for all the fans. Naruto has also been sealed completely by Kawaki, and he has been away from the story for over two years now, which is incredibly disappointing for all fans of the series. The treatment of Naruto Uzumaki in Boruto has not been great at all and it is one of the biggest complaints that fans have from this series at this point in time.
Naruto's Next Power-Up Is Highly Anticipated
While Naruto remains sealed for now, fans know for a fact that he will eventually return. When he does come back, fans can only hope that he will get a major power-up because otherwise, they will be greatly disappointed. Naruto Uzumaki is the face of the franchise, even in Boruto, and he deserves to be treated with respect. Once Naruto returns, fans hope that he receives a power that is truly worthy and comparable to Baryon Mode, which is the level he operated at before he was severely nerfed in the story.
Naruto deserves to lead from the front with example and be the strongest ninja of his generation. Hopefully, Boruto won't disappoint on that end in the future.
