This article contains spoilers from the Boruto series.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has given the fans a ton of exciting content, with a fresh look at the beloved next-generation ninjas, and overpowered villains who stand in their way and push them to grow even stronger. While Boruto is certainly very exciting for the new generation of ninjas, fans are also slightly concerned about how the series is handling the old generation, which consists of beloved characters from the Naruto series. In particular, the likes of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha have struggled quite a lot in the Boruto series, which is truly a shame. Boruto instead chooses to have the next generation of ninjas replace the old one completely. Even Naruto Uzumaki, the protagonist of the original Naruto series and the most iconic character of the whole franchise has been replaced in the Boruto series.
Say Hello To The Next Hokage In Boruto After Shikamaru
Shikamaru won't be Hokage forever, and the next one has already been decided in Boruto.
His son, Boruto Uzumaki, has now stepped up in his stead. It can be said that Boruto Uzumaki is now comparable to his father, Naruto, in terms of power. Fans had been wondering for quite a while whom the stronger one of the two was in the Boruto series, but it seems that Kishimoto has made the answer quite apparent now. When it comes to the current power levels, Boruto Uzumaki is stronger than Naruto and by quite a margin. Overall, however, Naruto Uzumaki still holds the higher peak of the two.
Boruto Uzumaki Has Surpassed Naruto's Current Power Level
Naruto Was Severely Nerfed In Boruto
- Naruto's strongest power is Sage Mode
- Boruto Has Karma and Uzuhiko
In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Boruto Uzumaki is stronger than Naruto, and this doesn't come as a surprise to most fans. The primary reason for Boruto having surpassed Naruto is that the latter has lost most of his powers.
You be good, Naruto. And don't join me too soon. — Kurama
Naruto Uzumaki was left without Kurama after his fight against Isshiki Otsutsuki. Right now, he only has access to Sage Mode, and while he's still strong, he isn't anywhere close to his former power levels. Meanwhile, Boruto Uzumaki has only gotten stronger. After having trained with Sasuke Uchiha for over a year, Boruto is now stronger than ever before. His training with Kashin Koji has allowed him easy access to techniques from multiple timelines and that's made him quite strong as well.
Boruto: Kishimoto Officially Confirms Boruto's Next Power Up Even Greater Than Kurama
Boruto is getting a huge power-up, and it's even more impressive than Kurama.
I realize that Boruto started as a sequel to Naruto, but due to Naruto's massive presence, it's been a pretty tough road to travel. Boruto has finally emerged as a proper protagonist in his own right. But will he be a hero on the same level as his father? Or maybe even surpass him? To be honest... I'm not entirely sure what'll happen, myself. That'll depend on the support of our readers, so please keep on cheering for us. —Ikemoto
Most of all, Boruto Uzumaki has access to the power of Momoshiki, and although he hasn't controlled it yet, he will in due time. Quite clearly, Boruto Uzumaki is already stronger than Naruto in the Boruto series.
I will save you no matter what, Uncle Sasuke. — Boruto Uzumaki
Naruto Uzumaki's Peak Is Still Higher
Naruto's Baryon Mode Remains Untouched
While it is true that Boruto is stronger than Naruto right now, fans should also keep in mind that Naruto's overall peak is higher. Naruto's Six Paths Sage Mode makes him stronger than Boruto Uzumaki overall, but his Baryon Mode is a height that Boruto Uzumaki has yet to touch. In fact, with Baryon Mode, Naruto is still the strongest ninja of all time, and even the strongest character in the story behind only Shibai Otsutsuki.
