Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has been absolutely sensational at the moment, and it seems like the series will continue incredibly strong in the upcoming months as well, with battles having been set up, and more importantly, new powers being revealed as well. Boruto recently began a new arc, and with that, the main characters of the story finally started making their preparations for what's to come next.

Just as Kawaki tried to increase his overall power by having Amado tweak his body even further, Boruto Uzumaki went to Sumire to have Sasuke's sword upgraded. Finally, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 28 has revealed to the fans what the new upgrade is all about, and it is safe to say that Sasuke's new power after his return will be exponentially greater than before. For now, the blade, which has now been turned into a katana, will be welded by Boruto Uzumaki, but eventually, it'll pass over to Sasuke, and fans will see a completely new version of him.

Sumire Has Upgraded Sasuke's Beloved Sword

As many Boruto fans know, Sasuke Uchiha has currently been incapacitated in the Boruto series. This happened around the timeskip, where Code attacked Sasuke and Boruto, and the former sacrificed his life to save his student. Sasuke succeeded in fighting back against Code and saving Boruto, but in the process, he became a tree, meaning his chakra was feasted on by the Claw Grimes and the Shinju Hidari was born.

At the same time, Sasuke Uchiha's sword was officially taken over by Boruto Uzumaki. Since then, Boruto Uzumaki has wielded the blade and fans know for a fact that he'll eventually return it to him, since it is Sasuke's primary weapon. But, Boruto will be returning a stronger blade than he received.

In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 28, it is quite clear to see that Sumire has completely transformed the blade. According to her, only the hilt of the sword is the same. The blade is made out of a brand-new material. This material sucks the chakra of the user automatically and maintains the Uchiha Kenjutsu, Hagoromo on its own. However, it only works with Sasuke, Boruto, or Sumire’s chakra. Anyone else would have their whole chakra drained by the sword. At the same time, Sumire also increased the strength and the cutting power of the blade exponentially. Most importantly, this sword is now made out of a new material with different properties and more about it will be revealed to the fans in time.

Sasuke's Sword Is Now A Scientific Ninja Tool

In every single way, Sasuke's sword has now become a scientific ninja tool. This is a theme that was established in the story quite early, and it is nice to see it make a return at this point. When Sasuke does take back his sword, he'll have a powerful blade that can cut through almost anything and it can constantly maintain a chakra cloak, meaning Sasuke can freely manipulate his own chakra without having to worry about a disruption in its flow.

Sasuke Will Be Stronger Than Ever Before With His New Blade

Undoubtedly, when Sasuke Uchiha does return, he will be stronger than ever before. Not only did he gain tremendous strength over the timeskip, but fans also know that this new sword will make him stronger than ever before. Be it Lightning Release chakra or just regular chakra, the blade will now be sharper and more dangerous. It might not fully fit Sasuke's style, which means that he might still make some adjustments to it, but, overall, Sasuke's power will be exponentially boosted with this new sword and it is only a matter of time before he gets to wield it.

For now, the sword is in possession of his student, Boruto, who will use it to fight the threat of the Shinju and protect Sarada. Eventually, however, he will return the sword to its rightful owner and that is Sasuke. Fans are eagerly waiting to see that happen, even though it might take some time.
