This article contains spoilers from the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is entering yet another exciting arc, with the Shinju Mamushi leading a terrifying assault on Konoha. It’s about time for the Shinju to strike back and settle the score after losing Matsuri and Ryu to Boruto and Sarada’s overwhelming power during the Land of the Wind encounter.
However, looking ahead, fans know that Jura and the God Trees will inevitably be on the losing end, allowing a new villain to rise from the shadows. Luckily, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has been generous in giving hints about the identity of the next villain after Jura, which fans have already begun to piece together.
Jura and the God Trees Will Be Defeated Soon
Jura and the God Trees Replaced Code
- Jura and the God Trees are the most powerful villains in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex at the moment.
- Jura and the God Trees replaced Code, but they will eventually be defeated.
When Boruto: Two Blue Vortex started, Code posed a major threat not only to Boruto Uzumaki but also to Naruto. He was stronger than anybody else, especially after Amado removed his limiters. Fans even thought he would continue to become the series’ main villain, with his unmatched devotion to Isshiki Otsutsuki, hatred of Boruto, Kawaki, and Naruto, and the juvenile Ten-Tails under his control.
Unfortunately, with Code modifying the Ten-Tails, Jura and the God Trees came into being, which quickly shifted the balance of power and reduced Code’s relevance. Jura and his kind are now running the series, emerging as the new central threat while Code fades further into the background. From Jura to Mamushi, the God Trees hold terrifying powers and abilities that could destroy the world.
Still, fans know that even the most powerful villains can be defeated, and Jura and the God Trees won’t be an exception. The God Trees have already lost Matsuri and Ryu, and eventually the rest will follow, including Jura himself. This won’t be easy, as Boruto and the others still lack enough power to take them down, meaning new powers, alliances, and awakenings will be crucial in the war to come.
Akebi Sanzu Could Be the Next Villain After Jura
Amado Is Still Hiding the Truth About Akebi
Next to Jura, Akebi Sanzu is probably the second most intriguing character in Boruto, not only because she is Amado’s daughter, but also because of the mystery surrounding her potential revival. This is one of the most anticipated events in the series, which could completely change the course of the story and reveal Amado’s true motives once and for all.
Fans know that Akebi died from an illness a long time ago, but with Amado’s genius, her memories were preserved in digital form. Akebi's resurrection now depends on Kawaki, with Amado hoping the adoptive son of Naruto Uzumaki will apply a Karma mark to one of Akebi’s cloned bodies, allowing her to be properly revived and reborn with the same personality and memories.
Everything I've done up until now... It's all been for this. This is my one and only purpose in life.—Amado
Akebi’s revival, however, is a gamble, considering she could be a full-blown Otsutsuki once brought to life. She could even become an Otsutsuki superior to Momoshiki or Isshiki, tragically losing her humanity in the process and becoming the very monster Kawaki swore to destroy just to protect Naruto. If that happens, there’s no saving Akebi and Amado, as both will be deemed major threats to the world.
Shibai Otsutsuki Could Be the Final Villain of Boruto
Akebi Sanzu might be the next villain after Jura, but fans are already pushing Shibai Otsutsuki as the final villain of the Boruto manga. He is, after all, an Otsutsuki powerhouse, someone who ascended to a higher plane after consuming countless Chakra Fruits, achieving godlike power in the process.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if Shibai eventually returned near the end of the Boruto manga, either through a vessel or divine manifestation, to reclaim his influence and lead an all-out war against humanity. If he returns through a vessel, he could even use Akebi as the perfect host. Her resurrection could mark the beginning of a new major arc for the series, one that explores Shibai’s resurgence and the origins of the Otsutsuki Clan.
