Boruto Uzumaki comes face-to-face with Jura somewhere in the Land of the Wind shortly after two of the Humanoid God Trees were defeated. However, winning against Jura proves to be a major challenge as Boruto struggles to find an opening he can take advantage of.

If there’s a villain who seems impossible to defeat in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Jura could possibly be that antagonist. As the direct incarnation of the Ten-Tails, he possesses immense strength that could challenge even the most powerful ninja of the previous generation. Despite this, fans know that Boruto will not go down easily, especially now that he holds the ultimate counter to Jura and his kind.

Boruto’s Strongest Opponent So Far

The rise of Jura and the Humanoid God Trees in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex catches many fans by surprise. In such a short amount of time, Jura overthrows Code as the primary villain, posing a major threat to Boruto and the rest of the world. First introduced in chapter 4, Jura immediately had a confrontation with Boruto, almost as if they were destined to fight toe-to-toe from the very beginning.

True enough, Jura and Boruto soon engage in a high-stakes battle that would determine the fate of the world in recent chapters of Two Blue Vortex. Based on Kashin Koji’s prescience, he saw how Jura defeated and killed Boruto in multiple futures, leading to the end of the world. Once Boruto dies, no one, not even Naruto or Sasuke, will be able to stop Jura, according to Kashin Koji.

But what makes Jura incredibly dangerous? In the past, Kurama warned everyone about the true horrors of the Ten-Tails. The moment the Ten-Tails evolves and gains sentience, it would be difficult to stop. That’s what happened to Jura, who fans know is the direct incarnation of the juvenile Ten-Tails. He’s still a massive ball of energy, but he now knows how to use his monstrous abilities.

Momoshiki Could Be the Ultimate Counter to Jura

An Otsutsuki vs. Ten-Tails Incarnation May Be Imminent

As much as fans would love to see Boruto kill Jura by himself, his current strength is not enough to overpower him alone. This is why he sought Kawaki’s help in previous chapters, setting their personal problems aside. However, before Kawaki could aid Boruto in battle, Momoshiki Otsutsuki could resurface after lying dormant for the past few years. After all, he would not let his host die no matter what happened.

That said, Boruto’s trump card against Jura would only be Momoshiki if all things fail. Fans are eagerly waiting for his return, as he has yet to make an appearance in Two Blue Vortex after his last sighting in Naruto Next Generations. But now, Momoshiki could be the force Boruto needs to defeat Jura, regardless of whether he likes it or not. If so, a confrontation between an Otsutsuki and a Ten-Tail incarnation would be inevitable.

Throughout the Boruto and the Naruto manga, the relationship between the Otsutsuki Clan and the Ten Tails is unclear. No one really understands the origins of these strange creatures, as the lore changes every now and then. But from what the Boruto manga has shown, the Otsutsuki Clan uses the Ten-Tails like a seedling for a God Tree to grow and bear the long-awaited chakra fruit.

Jura Is Bound to Fall

Despite the strength Jura holds, his death is bound to happen sometime in the Boruto manga. Similar to any other villain from anime shows or manga series, he would be defeated and replaced by a far superior villain to drive the plot forward and allow the main characters to develop.

However, at the moment, Jura’s exit in the Boruto series is full of questions. Who might be his killer? Would it be Boruto or Kawaki? What’s certain is that these questions will soon be answered in the upcoming chapters of Boruto.
