This article contains spoilers from the Boruto series.

In the world of Ninja, few shinobi can come close to the level of Madara Uchiha. In the Naruto series, Madara was first introduced by Kurama as a legend, the likes of which could not be matched by many. Strong as Kurama was, even he was afraid of Madara, which was enough for the fans to tell that this legendary figure was almost unmatched.

Now, in the Boruto series, Kishimoto has officially introduced the fans to a very powerful ninja who has managed to surpass even the likes of Madara. This shinobi is none other than the son of Naruto Uzumaki, Boruto. Boruto's overall powers continue to grow, and even though he is far from his peak right now, he has already left the strongest Uchiha in the dust.

Madara Uchiha Has Been Surpassed By Boruto Uzumaki Already

It goes without saying that Madara Uchiha was one of the strongest shinobi to ever live in the Naruto world. Being the reincarnation of Indra, Madara had tremendous strength at his disposal. His own keen intellect and the fact that he put hours into training on the battlefield made sure that he reached the very top. Along with Hashirama, he was quite easily at the top of his era. However, Madara did not stop there.

He set into motion a plan that saw him become the Jinchuriki of the Ten Tails and reach the very top. Madara's strength was almost unparalleled at the end of the Naruto series, but he was eventually struck down. His legacy is almost untouchable, and very few shinobi have ever gone on to match him, with Naruto and Sasuke being some of the very few.

In this world, wherever there is light, there are always shadows. As long as there is a concept of victors, the vanquished will also exist. The selfish desire for peace gives rise to war. And hatred is born in order to love. — Madara Uchiha, Naruto

In Boruto, however, overpowered characters are being revealed one after the other. Even the new generation of ninjas is being shown to be incredibly overpowered. Boruto Uzumaki, the son of Naruto, for example, has already been confirmed to have surpassed Madara.

Boruto possesses tremendous power and he was trained by Sasuke himself. Every ability that Sasuke knows, Boruto knows as well. He also knows all the abilities from his future self from multiple timelines, which makes him the best version of himself that he can possibly be.

In terms of power, it has already been made quite clear in the Boruto series that Boruto Uzumaki can easily overwhelm Code, who is an Otsutsuki-level calamity. He can even fight against the Shinju and destroy them in combat, and that makes him very special.

Most of all, what fans need to keep in mind is that Boruto has yet to reach his peak as a shinobi. Fans know very well that Boruto has the Karma of Momoshiki Otsutsuki. This Karma contains the DNA of Momoshiki and eventually, this will grant him the power of Otsutsuki.

Listen, he was full of weaknesses. He was a good-for-nothing. You don't need to understand who Naruto is now. You need to know about Naruto who made it this far. — Sasuke to Boruto about Naruto Uzumaki

Momoshiki's entire fighting style and all his techniques will belong to Boruto, and that is exactly what will push him beyond the levels of Madara Uchiha for good. This power is Boruto's to control and he even tapped into it in the recent chapter 28 of Two Blue Vortex. At his maximum power, Boruto is already above the likes of Madara, but also above the likes of Naruto and Sasuke.

In the Boruto series, Kishimoto's set up to make Boruto Uzumaki the strongest ninja to ever exist is quite clear for all the fans to see. Come the end of the series, Boruto will be the new strongest shinobi, and this shouldn't surprise any fan, given that the message in the Naruto franchise has always been that the new generation goes on to surpass the previous one.

Eventually, Boruto will master all kinds of Jutsu as well as his Karma, and this will make him stronger than most Otsutsuki, including even Momoshiki himself. He will also beat Kawaki, who has the power of Isshiki Otsutsuki, which required Naruto to use Baryon mode to defeat.

The fact is that Boruto will even surpass this level, and that is something that fans need to keep in mind when powerscaling him. Strong as Madara is, he absolutely cannot compete with him.
