Masashi Kishimoto has given the fans a ton of exciting content in the Boruto series so far, and it goes without saying that as the series progresses, bigger reveals and stronger abilities get revealed. More specifically, fans are eagerly waiting for the return of the Seventh Hokage, not just because he's absolutely adored, but also because fans want to see what he'll be capable of doing in this era of strength. Kishimoto has made all the old ninjas stronger in Two Blue Vortex, and that includes characters like Konohamaru. Someone like Naruto Uzumaki would most certainly get stronger in Boruto as well.
This is more true than ever before right now, especially as Sasuke was confirmed to have a major power-up in Two Blue Vortex. Naturally, Naruto would need his own upon his return, and the most recent signs from Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 28 seem to indicate that new scientific ninja technology is in the works for the Seventh Hokage. This new technology could rival Sasuke's own new power-up and take Naruto to the next level.
Naruto Could Get A Scientific Ninja Tool After His Return in Boruto
Naruto Uzumaki's return in the Boruto series is inevitable. Fans know very well that he will come back at some point in the story, even if they have to wait years for it. While it is unclear when Naruto will return, what's clear is that he will get a new power after his comeback. This is simply because Sasuke just got his sword upgraded in Boruto, and Two Blue Vortex Chapter 28 also confirms that Sasuke's sword recognizes his chakra, meaning he can use a new scientific ninja tool easily.

To match that, Naruto Uzumaki needs his own power-up, and it could very well be something similar. First, fans need to understand what Sasuke's sword upgrade is capable of. For those who are registered to its chakra, the sword will constantly drain chakra and veil itself in a cloak to increase cutting power and efficiency. Secondly, the sword cannot be used by others. This means if anyone else makes contact with the sword, this chakra will be drained immediately. Finally, the material of the sword is also important, but unfortunately, it is unclear right now what's special about it.
This would translate very well into Naruto's power-up. Just as Sasuke received a blade, Naruto will likely receive a new prosthetic hand. This hand will have the power to drain the chakra of others upon contact.
Naruto's New Baryon Mode Scientific Ninja Tool
For those who don't remember, this new ability will be remarkably similar to how Baryon Mode worked. By simply making contact with someone, Baryon Mode used to shave their chakra, regardless of how heavy Naruto hit. Sasuke's sword has a somewhat similar ability. Anyone unregistered cannot touch the blade as their chakra would be shaved instantly and they'd die. If this chakra-shaving power is given to Naruto through a new prosthetic, then he can once again use a power similar to Baryon Mode. This means Naruto won't even necessarily have to grow stronger. Just having a powerful tool would push him to the next level, especially as he can also combine it with Sage Mode.

Naruto's Next Power Should Make Him Otsutsuki Level
With powerful Sage Mode and an overall base upgrade, Naruto would already be very strong. However, when he gets his hands on the scientific ninja tool that shaves chakra from those who aren't registered, then Naruto would become a big threat to anyone, even the Otsutsuki. His fighting style would make him a monster and hardly anyone will be able to keep up with him.
This power-up is highly likely, and it is based on technology that already exists in the Naruto world now. However, it will still take a long time to manifest, simply because Naruto is still sealed at the moment and it will be a while before he is out. Still, it's something that Ikemoto and Kishimoto have laid the groundwork for. It's very reassuring to know that the authors have Naruto and Sasuke in the back of their minds even knowing that they're not the main focus at the moment. Fans have been patiently waiting for the return of the legends. Despite Boruto not having treated them fairly, Two Blue Vortex has a big chance to fix all the mistakes and finally give the fans what they want.
