  • Boruto needs to master his Karma better.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex dropped an absolutely fascinating chapter this month, and fans finally got to see the intense battle between Boruto Uzumaki and Jura playing out. As expected, this battle didn't last for long, largely due to Boruto being absolutely no match for Jura.

It is no surprise to know that while Boruto is strong, Jura is even stronger. But, the Shinju isn't the only one who fans know to be an overwhelmingly powerful character. Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 23 just introduced yet another character stronger than Boruto, and it is none other than Kawaki.

Kawaki Is Stronger Than Boruto Uzumaki

  • Kawaki’s Limiters Have Been Removed
  • He Can Use His Karma Fully

As seen in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 23, Kawaki has now officially joined the battle. In the previous chapter, it was clear to see that he's very powerful, given that the damage he inflicted upon Jura was quite severe. Kawaki was able to stab Jura through his head and eye, but that wasn't all. He also managed to skewer him with his chakra rods, which injured Jura greatly, although he could easily recover from the damage. This in itself is interesting to note, since fans know very well that Boruto only managed to land two clean blows on Jura. After Uzuhiko, he couldn't do much to counter Jura, while Kawaki was able to keep up much better.

That's not enough to kill you, is it? You beast! — Kawaki

However, that's not all. Kawaki was also shown tapping into Stage 1 of his Karma. Now, his attack will hit with much greater ferocity, and fans know that while Boruto is strong, and most certainly comparable to Kawaki while in base, once Karma comes into play, Kawaki is stronger.

What's even more interesting is that Kawaki is only using the first stage of his karma. He can also activate stage 2 and get even stronger, tapping into his full Otsutsuki power. As things stand, Boruto Uzumaki is inferior to Kawaki in terms of power, and all that is down to not being able to control the power of the Karma.

Boruto Needs To Master His Karma Better

Boruto Lacks Control Over Momoshiki

Boruto Uzumaki is strong, and over the years, he's built himself up to become a very strong fighter who can fight enemies like Code or even the Shinju without relying on the Karma. He doesn't want Momoshiki taking control of his body. But, that might not necessarily be the right approach. Boruto needs to learn how to control his powers, and that means mastering the two stages of Karma.

Don't lose control, or I'll kill you, crap brother! — Kawaki

He needs to keep Momoshiki at bay, and ensure that even when he is weakened, Momoshiki can't take over his body. Once he does that, he will once again be as strong as Kawaki, and can even beat enemies like Jura on his own. Until then, Kawaki is stronger than him, which is sad for Boruto fans, but also good since it opens up the room for special growth for him.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 24 is set for its official release on July 20, 2025. The release time of the chapter is 10 AM EST/ 3 PM UTC. As always, fans can read the chapter officially for free on the Manga Plus and the Shonen Jump apps.
