This article contains spoilers from the Boruto series.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is getting more exciting with each passing chapter, and as the current arc revolving around the invasion of Mamushi continues, fans are seeing unprecedented events develop in the village. The battle in Konoha is quite dangerous, given that Mamushi is continuously cloning himself and causing all sorts of problems to overwhelm the defences of the village. More than that, Mamushi poses a tremendous threat to every single individual residing in the village, and that only means that big deaths could follow in this arc of Boruto.

While some deaths have already been highlighted in the future vision of Kashin Koji, the latest chapter of Boruto made sure to set up another massive death that has huge implications for the Ninja World as a whole. This is the death of the mouthpiece of the Daimyo of the Fire Nation, named Kobu.

Two Blue Vortex Is The Darker Version Of The Boruto Series

  • Boruto and his teammates have grown up in Two Blue Vortex
  • Ikemoto will take a darker approach in the new anime

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is only just getting started, as far as the fights against the major villains go. Even though the manga has been running for about two years now, fans know for a fact that this story still has a lot to offer in terms of writing as well as exciting fights and, of course, even deaths.

The first part of the Boruto manga was quite lighthearted, as it needed to be. As fans know, Boruto Part 1 focused on the life of Boruto Uzumaki and all his friends when they were still kids. While it certainly had its dark moments, fans truly couldn't expect it to be as dark as Two Blue Vortex, simply because of the ages of the characters involved. About three years have passed since then, and Boruto Uzumaki and all his friends are now on the verge of adulthood. Now the author, Ikemoto, can truly introduce dark plot points without being restricted by Jump in any way. In that sense, fans expect Two Blue Vortex to be much darker than the first part of Boruto, and it is already starting to show.

Let's work together to create a future where Himawari and Eida don't have to die. — Kashin Koji

A lot of deaths are being set up in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex already, and the latest chapter certainly added to that greatly. As fans know right now, Konoha is in great peril as Mamushi continues to divide in the village and cause all sorts of issues for the shinobi. More than that, the Daimyo of the Fire Nation is currently causing problems for the Hokage as well. It is this particular individual, named Kobu, who could potentially go on to die very soon, and it is certainly going to be a tragic death.

Boruto Sets Up The Death Of Kobu In The Latest Chapter

  • Kobu is causing problems for Shikamaru
  • Kashin Koji has orchestrated the death of Kobu

Kobu is the mouthpiece of the Daimyo of the Fire Nation, and as such, even the Hokage is answerable to him, as has been clearly highlighted over the course of the recent chapters. It appears that Kobu suspects someone of collaborating with Boruto Uzumaki, whom they consider to be a big enemy of Konoha and the ninja world as a whole. Kobu knows that several Konoha Shinobi are involved in this conspiracy, and he also suspects the Hokage of the village. For this reason, Kobu must be dealt with in one way or another, and Kashin Koji, who is orchestrating the battle against the Shinju, recognizes this.

Now, Inojin, I want you to jump and kill Kobu. No one will suspect a thing. He's an enemy of ours at the moment. — Kashin Koji

In the recent chapter of the Boruto manga, fans saw Kashin Koji force Inojin to use the Mind-Body Transfer Jutsu on Kobu and then ask him to go to the top of the Hokage building. Then, Inojin was asked to commit suicide with Kobu and essentially kill him. Of course, Inojin did not want to kill Kobu at any cost, because for him, that would be going too far, as it would make him a murderer.

While fans assumed that Kobu's life would be spared due to Inojin's unwillingness to do what Koji wanted him to do, the fact is that Goji's toad then attacked Shinju Mamushi. Now Mamushi is on Kobu's tail, and it is only a matter of time before this particular powerful individual from the land of Fire is dealt with.

Kobu's Death Is Very Likely To Happen

It is highly likely that Kobu will die in Boruto: Two Blue Vertex chapter 31, and this death is going to have huge repercussions for the Land of Fire as a whole. Kobu's death could essentially pit the Daimyo of the Fire Nation against Konoha, and this would put the village in a very precarious situation. On the other hand, Shikamaru does possess a deft hand, so he could spin this into some sort of an accident. Regardless, Konoha's fate itself hangs in the balance if Kobu is to die, and that is truly terrifying to imagine.

While Kobu is certainly one character that is going to fall here, he is most likely not going to be the only one. The fact is that there are other deaths that Ikemoto and Kishimoto have already teased in this arc of Boruto, and they’ll have massive repercussions for what is to come in the future.

Eida And Daemon Could Also Die

Quite easily, the biggest deaths that Kishimoto has set up for the future are those of Eida, Daemon, and Himawari Uzumaki. As fans know, these are the characters that end up dying in the future, and this has already been confirmed. Now, Kishimoto and Ikemoto are trying to get the main characters to figure out a way in which these deaths are avoided.

Eida is essentially killed and absorbed by Mamushi, which would either force his evolution, or give rise to a new Shinju, which could possibly go on to wreck the entire world. It appears that Himawari is killed by Jura, and fans don't know what circumstances that happens under, but it would surely be a huge blow to the fans. Quite clearly, this arc of Boruto is set up to be dark, and the future of the series looks very grim as well.

Fans will see Boruto Uzumaki, Kawaki, and all the others walk down dark roads, and that is part of what makes this story exciting. Hopefully, the plot points will be written well and the arcs deliver, as Boruto continues.
