Himawari Uzumaki is more relevant than ever in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex with her new role as Kurama’s partner. Unlike Naruto, Himawari isn’t a jinchuriki but a being more akin to a Tailed Beast and the Shinju Jura. Himawari's unique situation needs more clarification, but the fact that she can embody Kurama's power without being a jinchuriki makes her potential virtually limitless.

So far, Himawari is still in the process of mastering the full extent of Kurama’s power. Fans have seen her unleash miniature bijuu bombs, heal herself, and use immense chakra, but she’s far from reaching her true potential in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Naruto used Kurama’s power in ways unimaginable, so there’s little doubt that Himawari, who embodies Kurama’s essence, could surpass even her father.

Himawari Has the Highest Compatibility With Kurama

Naruto Uzumaki is one of the best jinchuriki that fans have seen in the shinobi world. He had a great run with Kurama, from mastering the Nine-Tails' chakra and fully synchronizing with the Tailed Beast during the Fourth Great Ninja War to exhausting the Baryon Mode in Boruto. They were the best duo who went above and beyond to counter high-level threats and save the world.
Himawari, on the contrary, continues to surprise fans of her potential with Kurama. She is more attuned to the Nine-Tails' chakra than Naruto, probably due to her unique upbringing. Her parents both had Kurama’s chakra at some point, and not to mention, Kushina Uzumaki was also Kurama’s former jinchuriki. It goes without saying that Himawari is an ideal vessel for Kurama due to the amount of Tailed Beast chakra she has from conception to birth.
That said, Himawari has the potential to surpass Naruto. She could probably wield Kurama’s chakra without any limitations, unnecessary drawbacks, or side effects because she’s closer to a Tailed Beast than a normal jinchuriki. On top of that, her byakugan could also help her achieve better versatility, accuracy, and control that could even outclass Naruto.

Himawari Could Use Baryon Mode Without Side Effects
Baryon Mode is Naruto Uzumaki’s ultimate form with Kurama in Boruto. As fans know, it is an exceptional transformation with explosive power and speed, drastically amplifying all of Naruto Uzumaki’s abilities. However, the steep cost of this power lies in Naruto and Kurama’s life force, as the technique drains both of them. Naruto can only use this form once, and at the cost of Kurama’s life.
In other words, Naruto and Kurama suffered permanent consequences for using Baryon Mode. He can’t use this transformation again, unless Kurama magically regenerates and Naruto becomes a jinchuriki again. At this point, this is highly unlikely, considering Himawari now embodies Kurama’s essence. In short, Himawari and Kurama are one and the same. They are a single entity.
With this in mind, it’s not difficult to see Himawari unlocking a different form of Baryon Mode. She might even perfect the technique by using the Tailed Beast chakra without the life-threatening consequences that Naruto faced, thanks to her unique nature. If not Baryon Mode, Himawari might unlock an entirely new Tailed Beast transformation from Ikemoto at some point.

Himawari Uzumaki Could Unlock Bijuu Form Like Killer Bee
So far, Boruto fans have seen Himawari in her initial jinchuriki transformation, where her eyes turned red, and her hair stretched into nine flowing locks reminiscent of Kurama’s nine tails. In this form, she had full control of her mind, body, and powers, and more impressively, could wield Kurama’s abilities with ease, as shown in her fight with Jura.
Against Jura, Himawari was able to unleash powerful Tailed Beast balls one after another, matching Jura’s bijuu bomb in scale and destructive force. In addition, her regenerative abilities are at an accelerated rate, allowing her to recover from Jura’s attacks as fast as possible and even extend them to others. Given her growing control over Kurama’s chakra, Himawari could one day match Killer Bee, capable of assuming a complete Tailed Beast form at will.
