This article contains spoilers from the Boruto series.

The Boruto series has introduced fans to quite a lot of powerful characters over the years. Out of all those that the story has shown the fans, Boruto Uzumaki has been central to the most exciting plotlines, which also means that he has grown the most in terms of power.

It is safe to say that at the moment, Boruto Uzumaki is the strongest ninja in the world. But, at the same time, both Kishimoto and Ikemoto have made sure that they have paid attention to his other attributes. Boruto being the strongest ninja might be a given, but it is also clear in the story that he is the fastest ninja alive and the heir to Minato Namikaze.

For those who do not remember, Minato was the fastest shinobi of his era and was renowned for his speed for generations. But now, it seems that Boruto is well on the path to becoming a legend like him and being renowned for his own particularly impressive speed in combat.

In the Naruto series, Kishimoto made it quite clear that Minato was one of the strongest and fastest ninjas of his time. He utilized the special technique that was invented by the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju. This technique was the Flying Thunder God. Minato took this Flying Thunder God and upgraded it, becoming even faster than Tobirama himself. Even after his death, Minato remained to be the fastest shinobi of all time. Lightning A, who was deemed the fastest after Minato's death, could not compare to him.

The only ones who surpassed Minato in terms of speed were those with the power of the Six Paths, Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and possibly the likes of Madara. Minato's speed was such that even in Boruto, Ikemoto has made sure to highlight him on multiple occasions. Boruto, despite being a genius, often stated loud and clear that he was absolutely nothing compared to Minato in terms of speed, and especially talent.

No matter what era it is, Minato's legacy continues to live in the Boruto series. Minato might be dead, but his legendary technique, the Flying Thunder God, continues to live. Boruto Uzumaki has developed his own version of the Flying Thunder God, and although it is way inferior to Minato's version of the technique, it still carries his legacy.

This isn't a tale about a boy who aims to become Hokage. That was my dad's story. This is none other than my story! — Boruto Uzumaki, Boruto Chapter 1

This technique has also made Boruto the fastest ninja alive right now. When it comes to natural speed, Boruto is already a monster, especially after he awakens the power of his Karma. His overall physical attributes are boosted to sky-high levels, and he can overwhelm absolutely everyone when it comes to speed over short distances.

However, Minato was special not just because of his speed over short distances, but also because he could simply teleport to any part of the world instantly and dominate any battlefield anywhere, even if it was against 10,000 ninjas.

Now, Boruto seems to have learned to do something similar. Boruto's own version of Flying Thunder God allows him to teleport to any place where he holds his chakra-infused object and he does so quite efficiently. His teleportation has saved him on multiple occasions in his fight against the Shinju, and it goes to show that he is a monster when it comes to strength and speed.

Boruto Uzumaki Can Get Even Stronger In The Future

Boruto wielding the incredible jutsu of the Flying Raijin that belonged to Minato Namikaze goes to show that the latter continues to live through others even into the future. It also signifies what Minato truly meant to the Naruto franchise. Despite only appearing in the story for a very short period of time, Minato was beloved by all. Even Kishimoto and Ikemoto seemingly cherish Minato, which is why he is given the respect that he deserves in this series as well.

Boruto Uzumaki is the true heir of Minato. Even though he doesn't want to be the Hokage like Minato, he is incredibly fast just like him, and more than that, he is talented just like Minato. Boruto carries himself in a way similar to Minato and fans can only hope that he goes on to become a ninja on the same level as him in the future.
