Borderlands remastered makes some changes when compared to the original Borderlands, like adding a mini-map and tweaking the final boss fight to make it more involving and less of a bullet-sponge. While these changes and the upgrade to 4k graphics will no doubt be appreciated by fans, there was one change that many were hoping wasn't made to Borderlands remastered, and that was removing the armory glitch. Luckily, it's still possible to do the armory glitch in Borderlands remastered, though it's not quite the same as veterans of the original may remember.
For the uninitiated, the Borderlands armory glitch allows players to farm the Knoxx Armory from The Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC without having to worry about a timer like they usually do. To do this glitch, players need to have one of the following missions active: The Armory Assault (final mission in the DLC), Super-Marcus Sweep, or It's Like Christmas, as these three missions are the ones that allow Borderlands players to visit the armory.
With one of these missions active, players will be led to the armory if they follow the diamond. Follow it, but stop before reaching a hallway with red laser barriers on the walls. Look down at the floor to see the slot where the door would come up, and then move all the way to the right side. If done correctly, the player character should fall through the ground, allowing them to access the armory with no timer. The Borderlands remastered armory glitch is different from the one in the original because in the first game, players are able to fall through any part of the slot.
The Borderlands remastered armory glitch still being in place seems to have been purposefully done by Gearbox. After all, the studio changed other aspects about the game, like adding shift codes and golden keys, so why not address glitches left over from the original release as well?
Perhaps Gearbox left the armory glitch in Borderlands remastered as a nod to those who played the original game and used the glitch to farm legendary weapons. Even so, fans may want to take advantage of the Borderlands remastered armory glitch while they can just in case Gearbox decides to patch it out in the future.
