After opening the Vault of Pandora, Roland realized that the scattered remnants of the Crimson Lance would need a leader, so he banded the Crimson Raiders to help fight for the oppressed and halt the invasion of Hyperion forces. Sadly, Roland was shot and killed by Handsome Jack in an effort to stop him, but his legacy remains immortal in the Crimson Raiders.
Brick
What Happened to Brick After Borderlands?
Brick was the muscle of the OG Vault Hunters crew, but after many disagreements and the fall of New Haven, Brick would forge his own path through his fists and became the Slab King, a leader of a bandit faction known as the Slabs where he could take his own sadistic revenge on Hyperion. Brick eventually re-joined the Crimson Raiders, and after Handsome Jack's demise, he prioritised raising Tiny Tina as her surrogate father instead of as a leader in the Crimson Raiders. Now, Brick's focus remains on three things: raising Tina, finding Lilith, and punching things that need punching.
Mordecai the Hunter
What Happened to Mordecai After Borderlands?
Mordecai and his bird, Bloodwing, grew up together, and they would arrive on Pandora as a duo of Vault Hunters in search of glory and a better life. Mordecai would remain with the Crimson Raiders, but preferred his isolation, so he became a scout in the Tundra Express. After an ambush, Bloodwing is captured and experimented on with Slag by Hyperion and is killed by Handsome Jack. Mordecai returns to Sanctuary, full of rage and spiraling into alcoholism. Mordecai became sober to raise Bloodwing's hatchling, Talon, and also to help Brick raise Tina. Mordecai and Brick are a great team together who continue to raise Tina with a backseat role in the Crimson Raiders.
Lilith the Siren
What Happened to Lilith After Borderlands?
Lilith is a Siren, a woman imbued with cosmic powers from the universe that has endowed her body with tattoos and immense strength. While Lilith was once a Vault Hunter for personal adventure, she realised her importance and became the Firehawk, a Siren who only grew in strength with further consumption of Eridium. To honor Roland, Lilith would become the leader of the Crimson Raiders, but the Calypso Twins, Sirens with leeching powers, absorbed her own. With the death of the Calypso Twins, Lilith regains her powers, but has to use them in a sacrifice to teleport Elpis far from Pandora, as Elpis was a Vault Key for Pandora, the Great Vault. Lilith teleported across the galaxies with Elpis, and was stuck in the Phase for 6 years until the Vault Hunters were able to rescue her, where she lies in recovery with old allies.

After helping to save Pandora, Axton's vanity grew, and he became a fairly successful model. While Axton might not be involved in action, he still sees plenty of it, as he now commentates for Arms Race, a deadly sport where participants kill each other and loot.
Salvador the Gunzerker
What Happened to Salvador After Borderlands 2?
Salvador is a native of Pandora, which explains his violent personality. If there are two things Salvador loves, it's steroids and murder, which is probably why his bounty is so high and he can dual-wield guns with no issue. After helping to save his planet from Hyperion, Salvador left the Crimson Raiders in pursuit of self-discovery, but that self-discovery just meant drinking across the galaxy and not paying his tabs. Whether out of boredom or genuine friendship with Axton, Salvador now co-leads the commentary of Arms Race with Axton, a deadly sport involving killing, looting, and fame.
Zer0 the Assassin
What Happened to Zer0 After Borderlands 2?
Zer0 is an assassin for hire, and one who always seeks an actual challenge, not just whoever puts the most money in front of him. Zer0 saw Vault Hunting as a challenge, but even after conquering that, he deemed himself the victor. Zer0 remained somewhat satisfied as a member of the Crimson Raiders, and so he remained loyal to them, but mainly enjoys hanging out and being the personal bodyguard for his best friend, Rhys, the new CEO of Atlas. Zer0 will always protect Rhys, but his allegiance to the Crimson Raiders is as strong as his haikus, so he's out there working for both Atlas and the Crimson Raiders, perhaps with a combined goal to find Lilith.
Maya the Siren
What Happened to Maya After Borderlands 2?
Maya was a powerful Siren who left behind the monk-culture of Athenas to discover herself and train her powers without the guidance of those who could never understand her. In freeing Pandora and forming bonds with the Crimson Raiders, Maya decided to return to Athenas to protect the planet and ensure that a peaceful mind could grow her power. Sadly, that power, and her own life, were taken from her after Troy (the twin of Tyreen, a Siren) leeched her powers and disintegrated Maya. Maya died in an effort to save her apprentice, Ava, who would go on to be the next Phaselock Siren after Maya's prophesied death, meaning her legacy lives on in Ava, and her heart lives on with Krieg.
Krieg the Psycho
What Happened to Krieg After Borderlands 2?
Krieg was once a normal man, or as normal as any man can be on Pandora. Unfortunately, Krieg was taken by Hyperion and experimented on, fracturing his mind and turning him into a Bandit Psycho. What remains of Krieg's normalcy is dormant, but promises to kill the Psycho Krieg should he ever harm an innocent. The split personality of Krieg can't agree on much, other than their love for Maya, which is why they join the Crimson Raiders just to stick around her a little longer. Krieg grieves Maya, and attempts to learn balance between his two personalities. With Krieg finally accepting himself, he remains isolated on Pandora and knows that if he wants to, he can rejoin the Crimson Raiders whenever he'd like.

Gaige fled her home planet with Deathtrap to pursue her interest in Pandora and Vault Hunting, but mainly to escape the rich and powerful Holloway family, who both wanted Deathtrap's blueprints, and revenge for Deathtrap's malfunction that saw their daughter murdered. Gaige was part of the Crimson Raiders for a time, but left to avoid the Holloway family closing in on her and her allies, where she fell in love with being a wedding planner. Gaige and Deathtrap 2.0 are aided by the Vault Hunters to take down the Holloway family, freeing her bounty, and ensuring she can be a wedding planner with no hiccups.

However, in her defection, she sought action and glory, and so she joined as a Vault Hunter to help Handsome Jack on Elpis. She left Jack behind after seeing no honor in his plans and abandoned the money that was promised to her. Instead, Athena left Elpis with her lover, Janey Springs, but she could never break the old life of action. Athena was captured by the Crimson Raiders but freed by the Watcher, an Eridian who prophesied a Great War that Athena would be needed for, and ever since, she has lived with her soon-to-be wife, Janey, waiting for the call to action once more.

Wilhem was obsessed and addicted to enhancements, and his fetish to becoming more machine than man would end up being fulfilled with Handsome Jack and Hyperion's request. This Vault Hunter loved technology, so when he could sacrifice his own humanity for cold steel, he would do so with glee. Wilhem became a loyal enforcer to Jack, but would unknowingly be betrayed by him. Wilhem was in possession of a Vault Key, and Jack wanted the Crimson Raiders to get it, so he betrayed Wilhem so he could be killed with no suspicion involved. Wilhem was then killed by the Vault Hunters aiding the Crimson Raiders, and that's where his story ends.
Nisha the Lawbringer
What Happened to Nisha After Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel?
Nisha has a dark heart, and while her attraction to Handsome Jack may have been physical, it was his sadistic tendencies that made her fall for him. Jack and Nisha started a relationship, and her Old West-obsessed aesthetic saw her gifted the town of Lynchwood by Jack back on Pandora. Nisha became the Sheriff of Lynchwood and was killed by the Vault Hunters, mainly just to annoy Jack, but also as revenge for killing Brick's dog, Dusty.
Claptrap the Fragtrap
What Happened to Claptrap After Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel?
Thanks to a generous update from Hyperion, Claptrap was able to get the VaultHunter.EXE programming that made him a very strong Vault Hunter, and one who was on a loyal quest from Hyperion's own Handsome Jack. Sadly, Claptrap was used to help in the destruction of the CL4P-TP steward bots, and Handsome Jack betrayed and killed Claptrap, leaving him to be snow-buried scrap in Windshear Waste. Thanks to 5H4D0W-TP, an evil subroutine in Claptrap, Claptrap was able to resurrect with his sacrifice, where, after being fixed up by Sir Hammerlock, he re-joined the Vault Hunters as part of the Crimson Radiers, and later, as part of the Crimson Resistance, where he's been annoying everyone ever since.
Aurelia the Baroness
What Happened to Lady Hammerlock After Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel?
Sir Hammerlock's sister, Aurelia, was always one for trouble. She was sadistic and wealthy, and spent her adult life doing whatever she wanted, so long as she could get a reward from it. In the end, it was Aurelia's twisted greed that got her killed, along with her hatred for her brother, Sir Hammerlock. Aurelia purchased Jakobs, and with her consuming greed and cold demeanor, was forcibly removed from life by the Vault Hunters due to her allegiance to the Children of the Vault and the Calyspo Twins, thus leaving her forever cold in death.
Timothy the Doppelganger
What Happened to Jack's Doppelganger After Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel?
Timothy Lawrence was forced to become Handsome Jack's body double with invasive surgery and joined his unwilling quest to hunt the Vault on Elpis alongside other Hyperion-recruited Vault Hunters. Timothy's desires went past the uncanny identical face of Handsome Jack, and as reward for helping Jack on Elpis, he was sent to work as a body-double at the Handsome Jackpot, a casino themed entirely around Jack. When the casino descended into mayhem, Timothy Lawrence sought the help of the Vault Hunters to remove a bomb implanted into his face so he could leave the casino, which he does, but it's worth noting that he has some of Jack's DNA inside him that may eventually result in Handsome Jack's return...

FL4K's obsession with The Hunt led them to seek death through Vault Hunting, but FL4K's questionable loyalties to self-discovery and the Crimson Raiders mean nobody knows where FL4K is. FL4K could be across the galaxies in search of Lilith away from Sanctuary 3, or they could have resumed their journey alone, aided only by wildlife companions.
Moze the Gunner
What Happened to Moze After Borderlands 3?
Moze was a Vladof soldier, and with her Iron Bear mech, she saw many battles and won them all, even if the final battle for her freedom would cost the lives of her entire squad. After Lilith's disappearance, Moze decided to stick around to help find her with the Crimson Raiders, but she's off elsewhere while the others are stuck on Kairos.
Zane the Operative
What Happened to Zane After Borderlands 3?

Zane retired as a Vault Hunter but promised to help search for Lilith, which is why he's one of the survivors from Sanctuary 3 that crashed on Kairos. Zane would help his Vault Hunter colleague Amara search for Lilith, all while still being a bouncer for Moxxi's Bottoms Up bar. However, a stiuationship with a Carcadian, Levaine, and his re-awakened love for action, sees Zane long for the semi-retired life of a Vault Hunter, so it's likely that he'll go off-world to re-find his glory, if he can get away from his love-lust heart that wants Levaine, that is.
