If you're a fan of bullets and explosions, then a well-rolled Vladof Assault Rifle in Borderlands 4 should be enough for you. However, if you want to shoot things and blow them up at the same time, then the legendary Wombo Combo rifle is the gun you're looking for.
Borderlands 4: Best Legendary Assault Rifles & Where to Find Them
These Legendary Assault Rifles can make any Vault Hunter unstoppable in Borderlands 4, so check out the best of them and where they can be farmed.
Where to Find the Wombo Combo Rifle in Borderlands 4
You can technically get this gun from any suitable source of legendary loot in Borderlands 4, but if you want to target farm it, then you need to head on over to the Saw's Clench Ripper Drill Site found in northern Carcadia Burn. This site is very close to the Judgment's Call Silo, making it a very convenient place to farm given its proximity to a fast travel point.
Saw's Clench is home to the Rippa Roadbirds, a trio of bosses mounted on hoverpads. They're not much of a threat compared to other Borderlands 4 bosses, but you can still get overwhelmed by other Rippers that spawn during the fight. Grab an Electric and Incendiary gun (or anything that can pump out big damage numbers), and shoot everything in the face. Repeat until you get a Wombo Combo roll that fits your desired build.
You can get back to the Encore machine in this drill site by climbing up the rocks and the big pipe leading back to the entrance.
How Good is the Wombo Combo?
You'll Be Drowning in Damage Numbers
Pretty good. The damage it deals with its regular shots is respectable, especially if you get a version of the gun that deals the right type of elemental damage against your target. However, the real star of the show is the gun's underbarrel Zip Rocket launcher — you can't use it manually, but since it fires along with the gun, the Wombo Combo's DPS towers over many other Vladof Assault Rifles.
The Wombo Combo's Zip Rockets deal Kinetic damage, and it scales with skills and items that boost Splash Damage. Unfortunately, since this is a Vladof gun, you can expect to run out of ammo fairly quickly if you don't have some means of recovering it mid-firefight.
Rafa is a great candidate for rapid-fire weapon builds. The Las Jaras skill under his APOPHIS Lance skill tree lets him regenerate ammo passively while Overdrive is active, and when you pair this with the Soltado skill in his Peacebreaker Cannons tree, you can annihilate enemies without having to reload (so long as you fire in controlled bursts).
