Set in a post-apocalyptic world in the distant future, the game will notably include the largest weapon selection in the series to date, with senior project producer Anthony Nicholson recently teasing "billions" of weapons and items for players to acquire during their journey. While some were eager to see the return of Handsome Jack, it's unclear whether this will come to pass, as Borderlands 4 will have a new villain dubbed The Timekeeper.
