Gearbox has released the full list of Borderlands 4 global release times, giving players an idea of exactly when they'll be able to get their hands on the upcoming looter shooter. This even includes times for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Borderlands 4, which is set to arrive a few weeks after its launch on other platforms.
There is a lot of expectation surrounding Borderlands 4. The lukewarm response towards the writing of Borderlands 3 (and the subsequent acknowledgment that it wasn't up to the expected standard) has led many to hope for much better this time around. Talk of a more grounded story for Borderlands 4 is a good start. It's only a few days now before players get their hands on the full game and get to see if Gearbox has got it right, making up for the errors made back in 2019.
Borderlands 4's Pearlescent Rarity May Be Why Some Beloved Weapons Were Cut
Borderlands 4’s returning Pearlescent are exciting, but they may be behind the exclusion of some of the series most iconic weaponry.
Borderlands 4 Release Times Confirmed
In a blog post, Gearbox revealed all the global release times for Borderlands 4 across all platforms. Although Borderlands 4 doesn't launch on Nintendo Switch 2 until October 3, there are even times provided for the platform. Release times for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S are the same across the board, although PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store) has some interesting discrepancies.

In some time zones such as NZST, AEST, and JST, PC players will receive Borderlands 4 later than other users. However, in others such as BST, ET, and PT, PC players will be able to access Borderlands 4 much earlier than console players. It's not clear why these differences are present, although it's well worth users being aware of ahead of Borderlands 4's September 12 release date.
The Borderlands 4 adventure won't end with the game's release. While it's being launched out into the world on September 12, Gearbox recently revealed Borderlands 4's post-launch roadmap and endgame plans, ensuring the upcoming looter shooter will enjoy a long lifespan beyond its release. Considering the mainline Borderlands games typically enjoy a long gap between releases, it's good that Gearbox is prepared for gamers to be playing Borderlands 4 for years to come.
