The next generation of Vault Hunters has been officially revealed, though there's still a lot of mystery surrounding Borderlands 4‘s playable characters, mainly what kind of action skills they will have access to. This is especially the case for the new Siren playable character coming in Borderlands 4, as the specific Siren powers she possesses are currently unclear.
These burning mysteries will surely get answered in due time when the game releases later this year and fans can finally meet all of Borderlands 4’s new Vault Hunters firsthand. In the meantime, though, popular fan theories and hints from recent reveals already provide a strong basis for speculation as to what power(s) Borderlands 4’s new Siren Vault Hunter could have.
Borderlands 4: What Would The Ideal Siren Skill Tree Be?
Borderlands 4’s Siren Vault Hunter should arguably build upon the skill trees from past Sirens and take this character’s builds to the next level.
What Powers Could Borderlands 4’s New Siren Have?
The Borderlands universe has a rule that only six Sirens can exist at any given time, and thus there is also a limit of only six Siren powers. Among the six potential powers that Borderlands 4’s new Siren playable character could inherit, Commandant Steele’s Siren powers are still a mystery; otherwise, the other five canon Siren powers are already known.

Borderlands 4’s Purple-Tattoo Siren Theory Explained
While it remains to be seen what kind of powers Borderlands 4’s playable Siren Vault Hunter will have, there are already plenty of fan theories attempting to correlate the franchise’s existing lore with what has been shown off for this new character already. One of the most popular fan theories so far is that Borderlands 4’s Siren likely inherited the powers from Borderlands 3’s main antagonists, Troy and Tyreen Calypso.
The main evidence for this theory is the color of the new Siren’s tattoos in Borderlands 4. The twins, Troy and Tyreen Calypso, had red and blue Siren tattoos throughout their bodies, respectively, while the new Siren character has unique purple tattoos. Naturally, a reasonable explanation for this could be that Troy’s red tattoos and Tyreen’s blue tattoos combined to produce purple-colored tattoos.
Borderlands 4’s Gameplay Reveal Trailer Could Be Hinting at the New Siren’s Powers
Certain clues in the latest Borderlands 4 reveal trailer can be interpreted to support the purple-tattoo theory, except with a twist. At around 1:12 in the trailer, a unique creature is shown, who appears to be of Eridian origin. In the same trailer, a similar creature can be seen again at 1:22, this time though the creature appears with a purple, modified body and seems to be fighting alongside the new Siren Vault Hunter.
Vault Hunters throughout the Borderlands franchise have utilized minions/companions in their action skills before, so a similar character class in Borderlands 4 wouldn’t be out of the ordinary. Especially considering that a minion-based character class hasn't been revealed for Borderlands 4 yet, the Siren and this unique creature could fulfill this missing archetype.
As many fans have already guessed, the new Siren in Borderlands 4 might have inherited Troy and Tyreen’s Phaseleech powers, allowing her to consume enemies and buff herself, though it also appears that she might have a companion who could benefit from her Siren powers as well. With this unique creature appearing alongside the Siren as a potential ally and sporting a modified body with purple accents similar to the Siren’s mysterious purple tattoos, all the coincidences here are arguably hard to ignore.
