Borderlands 4 players can enter into Terminus Range, where they will not only become acquainted with the local Auger population, but they will also get their first mission request from the Boss, located at the Pit in the Low Leys. The Boss seems to have a good heart, and if Vault Hunters want to help a friend of Defiant Calder, and get some loot for doing it, then why not complete the Mob Mentality mission? Venture through this guide so you know how to complete the mission, including how to reach the Boss, how to find a way into the Thirst Scrap, and how to actually get the Boss's mask.
How to Enter The Boss's Office
Where to Get Numba One's Drink
Once players arrive at The Pit located in the Low Leys within Terminus Range, they will not be able to reach The Boss's office from the grapple hook that's placed on the ledge. Instead, head to the right, where you can speak with Numba One, a Meathead who has become parched from standing in the way all day long. Players can then venture to the bar area in The Pit to speak with Tipsy Olivia to get Numba One a drink. This drink can be grabbed via the grapple hook, and it's found on the left of the bar. Simply carry this can of oil to Numba One, and then throw it at him in order to hydrate him and get him to move out of the way so you can access The Boss's office.
Alternatively, players can head west from Numba One to the balcony of The Pit, where they will be able to double jump and glide to The Boss's office without needing to help Numba One. Either choice has no impact whatsoever.
How to Find Another Way In to The Thirst Scrap
The Thirst Scrap Entrance Location
Once players meet The Boss, he will task them with venturing to the Thirst Scrap, which is found just south of The Pit in the Low Leys. Once players arrive, they will need to kill the wild Manglers outside, and then they can enter to speak with Pickett. Pickett is unwilling to do business here, so players will need to actually find another way into the Thirst Scrap. Luckily, the video below will detail the exact route that players can take. Alternatively, they can read on to find a text description that will help them continue the mission:
Opposite the Thirst Scrap is a large scaffolding tower, and players can look west to double jump and use the grapple hook to pull themselves up. Once you're on top, look to the south and then down to find a small platform that contains a battery station. Players can then use the grapple hook to yank this battery out of its slot so that they can carry it to where it needs to go. Players will want to walk with the battery to the north-west area of the platform, where, next to the metal generators, is an empty battery slot. Simply place the battery inside, and watch the Thirst Scrap's bulky door open up. Players can now either glide into the Thirst Scrap with their jetpack or use the grapple point provided to enter. Once inside, speak with Pickett Fenster to claim the next step.
How to Find The Boss's Mask
After speaking with Pickett Fenster at the Thirst Scrap, it's time to head to Gilded Drop, which is currently overrun with Creeps. Players will need to kill all of the Creep enemies here to clear the dead drop zone before they can actually find the Boss's mask. Once these enemies have been defeated, head to the central shrine and look to the north-east to find a portable toilet with a corpse outside it. Open the door to the porta-potty to reveal the Boss's mask sitting on the toilet seat.
With the mask acquired, head back to the Pit, which is now overrun with Rippers. Players will need to clear the outside area of Rippers, and then the inside area, finishing it off with a deadly battle against Numba One. There's nothing hard about Numba One, as he's just a Meathead with no special abilities, just a name. After their deaths, enter the Boss's office and hand over the mask to complete the quest.
If players want to wear the Boss's mask, then they will need to complete the continuing questline that can be accepted deeper into the main story, and by accepting these Faction Missions from The Boss in The Pit.
