With the Borderlands 3 release date just over four months away, new details about Gearbox Software's highly anticipated looter shooter continue to surface. Included in these details are the confirmation of several Borderlands 3 characters, along with the reveal of the BL3 voice actors that will bring them to life.
Indeed, this slow disclosure of the Borderlands 3 voice cast has been one characterized by a surprising amount of controversy and drama. That said, despite these bumps in the road, the extent of the Borderlands 3 voice actors is coming increasingly into focus, and fans are certain to find cast members to be excited about in the list provided here.
Zehra Fazal (Amara)
Borderlands 3's Amara the Siren is one of the new BL3 characters, and the voice actor behind her, Zehra Fazal, is also new to the series. While indeed players have not heard Fazal's work in a Borderlands game before, they may recognize her as Kayle from League of Legends and the AI announcer from the recent Apex Legends.
Marcus M. Mauldin (Brick)
Marcus M. Mauldin is back to reprise his role as Brick in Borderlands 3, a character he has previously voiced in Borderlands, Borderlands 2, and Tales from the Borderlands: A Telltale Games Series. Aside from his Borderlands 3 voice over, Mauldin's work can be heard in Deus Ex and Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi.
Jim Foronda (Claptrap)
Indeed, there has been some notable controversy surrounding the Borderlands 3 Claptrap voice actor, which has included name-calling and accusations of assault. Despite this ongoing drama, Jim Foronda finds himself filling the role, and he is no newcomer to the franchise, having previously voiced characters in Borderlands, Borderlands 2, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!. His work can also be heard in anime series such as My Hero Academia, Dragon Ball Super, and Attack on Titan.
Jamie Marchi (Ellie)
Ellie is back in Borderlands 3, and Jamie Marchi returns to give her a voice. Marchi is an extremely prolific actor with more than 300 credits to her name, many of which come from recurring roles on a great number of anime series. Some of these series are Strike Witches, Fairy Tail, and High School DxD.
Amber Lee Connors (Female Psycho)
Borderlands 3 is the first game in the series to feature female Psychos, and Amber Lee Connors makes her debut in the franchise by voicing them. That said, Connors is certainly not new to voice work, having more than 150 acting credits. Some of her most notable credits include her recent roles in Wargroove and My Hero Academia.
Christopher Wehkamp (Katagawa, Jr.)

Katagawa, the Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Maliwan, is a new Borderlands 3 character, and Christopher Wehkamp is making his series debut as well. Wehkamp's previous work has been primarily focused on recurring roles in anime series, such as Attack on Titan and Fairy Tail.
Ciaran Strange (Lorelei)
Lorelei is yet another new BL3 character, and giving her a voice appears to be the first voice acting Ciaran Strange has done. Despite having a relatively fresh acting career, Strange has been featured in a few TV series, including The Switch.
Brina Palencia (Mad Moxxi)
Brina Palencia is back to lend her talents to Borderlands 3, continuing her role as Mad Moxxi from Borderlands, Borderlands 2, and Tales from the Borderlands: A Telltale Games Series. Palencia has over 250 acting credits to her name, with notable roles from this year including Captain Briggs from The Division 2 and Nyotengu from Dead or Alive 6.
Martha Harms (Maya)
Martha Harms reprises her role as Maya for Borderlands 3, a character she first voiced in Borderlands 2. Harms' work can also be heard in a number of anime series, voicing various characters in Pokemon and having an extended run on A Certain Scientific Railgun.
Jason Liebrecht (Mordecai)
Mordecai is another returning character in Borderlands 3, and Jason Liebrecht is back to lend his talents. Aside from voicing Mordecai in Borderlands 2 and Tales from the Borderlands: A Telltale Games Series, fans may know Liebrecht's voice as Dabi's from My Hero Academia and Champa's from Dragon Ball Super.
