Gearbox is firing on all cylinders when it comes to updates for Borderlands 3. Not only does the free seasonal event, Revenge of the Cartels, start tomorrow, but it coincides with the release of Mayhem Mode 2.0. As if that wasn't enough, Borderlands 3 will also be starting a new "Loot the Universe" event on April 23.

Loot the Universe lives up to its name, delivering four weeks of Legendary drops on four different Borderlands 3 planets. Week one of Loot the Universe will take place on the planet of Pandora, fittingly. Here, Borderlands 3 players will have an increased chance of Legendary loot dropping in each of Pandora's different zones. That means different types of Legendary loot in Meridian Metroplex versus Atlas HQ.

The only guidance Gearbox is willing to provide for the time being is which planet the event will move to next. Pandora will be the planet of choice for week one, but on April 30 the planet switches to Promethea. Eden-6 starts on May 14, followed by Nekrotafeyo on May 21. That's seven days per planet, making for a month-long Loot the Universe mini-event.

Loot the Universe is just the latest example of Gearbox's plan to keep Borderlands 3 fresh and fun. After a month, Gearbox is certain to have more surprises in store for Vault Hunters. Players will learn whether or not there's such thing as too much loot.

Borderlands 3 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
