Borderlands 3 features an impressive amount of enemy variety, with players able to take on creatures, humans, and aliens across the game’s planets. For Borderlands 3 players that are looking for spiderants specifically, though, Pandora is the place to be.

Whether it is for an in-game challenge or a daily Vault Card challenge, there are two spots that should work well for gamers that are on the hunt. Before they start searching, though, a powerful weapon like a revolver or a shotgun would be a great thing to bring along. Further, if one of these weapons is equipped with an incendiary elemental effect, players taking down spiderants should prove to be a cakewalk.

Finding Spiderants

The first spot players should search for spiderants is in The Splinterlands. If players head left from where they spawn, they will quickly find the mini boss arena for Phoenix. From this entrance, they should head straight, and hopefully, they will have a vehicle of some kind with them. It not, it will be a long walk. Once players head all the way to the left of the map, they should see a large cave with two entrances. This cave is home to a ton of spiderants, which should be great news for those trying to kill the creatures. It also featured in the "Just Desserts" side quest, so players should have an idea of where to look.

The second place that players will want to search is Devil’s Razor. Best known for being the home base of Tiny Tina’s B Team, as well as having a large statue of former Vault Hunter Roland, the area is a highlight of Pandora. From that statue at Roland’s Rest, players can head directly north to find more spiderants. In the center of the map, a bridge can be seen, and several nests can be found below (seen in parentheses on the map above). A Hammerlock Hunt is also found here, adding one more spiderant to the list of kills if it is dealt with. If players still need to kill more spiderants, they can find a few in the cave near the B Team’s base of operations in Devil's Razor.

Killing Spiderants

Fortunately, killing spiderants is a fair bit easier than finding them. While Borderlands 3’s new legendary weapons rip through the creatures, the normal strategy is to aim for their abdomens. These large fleshy sacs are not armored like the fronts of the spiderant, and in turn, shooting them will deal incredible damage. While this is easier said than done, spiderants can be stunned if enough damage is done to their armored heads — making a shotgun, sniper, or revolver highly effective here.

If players are struggling to stun and get behind one of the larger spiderants, they should rely on elemental damage instead. With spiderants being flesh-based, incendiary weapons work wonders, and the creatures should burn up in no time. While spiderants are tougher than most basic enemies, they are not as strong as mini bosses like the Red Jabber or proper bosses like Troy Calypso. As such, there is no need to overthink their fights provided the above tips are kept in mind.

Borderlands 3 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
