Last week, Gearbox Software launched a hot fix that nerfed a Borderlands 3 legendary weapon farm that a number of players had been using to fill out their inventories. Thus, this Borderlands 3 hot fix prompted fans to seek out alternative options for legendary farming, and an excellent one has recently been discovered. This option is detailed in this guide, and it is perhaps one of the best BL3 legendary farms currently available.
This Borderlands 3 legendary loot farm centers around the ability to infinitely spawn a specific creature boss, and it does not require any save-quitting. To note, this is an offline BL3 legendary farm, which means that players should make sure that they are not connected to the internet before they load Borderlands 3 and attempt to employ the method outlined here.
Best Borderlands 3 Legendary Weapon Farm
Once a player has gone offline and loaded Borderlands 3, they will need one thing in order to use this unlimited boss spawn for fast legendary farming: a cryo weapon. While a cryo grenade is recommended, it is not strictly necessary, as any type of weapon that deals cryo damage can be used to facilitate this legendary farm.
Armed with a Borderlands 3 cryo weapon, players should head to the Voracious Canopy zone of BL3's fourth planet, Eden-6. To the west of the drop point, players will locate a Legendary Hunt, which is the site for this Borderlands 3 legendary farm. An exact location for this Legendary Hunt can be found at the two-minute mark in the video featured here.
This location is the spawn point for a creature boss called the Jabbermogwai, and damaging this enemy with a cryo weapon will cause it to endlessly duplicate. Players can thus infinitely spawn the Jabberwogwai in order to dispatch the duplicates for loot, XP, and Guardian Rank. As previously mentioned, this does not require players to reload Borderlands 3, which makes it amongst the best legendary farms in BL3.
Additionally, the unlimited spawn of the Jabbermogwai functions as a somewhat humorous reference to the 1985 film Gremlins. In that movie, getting a small creature called a Mogwai wet causes it to create a great number of other Mogwai, as is the case when hitting the Jabbermogwai with a cryo weapon. As such, this legendary farm appears to be an Easter egg, rather than a glitch, which may mean that it is here to stay.
Borderlands 3 is now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
