For the first time, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga allows fans the chance to experience all nine of the mainline films, but with the comedic style that LEGO games bring to the table. Thankfully, players don't have to start with Episode 1 --they can start at the first episode of any of the three iconic trilogies.
For those that start with Episode 4: A New Hope, the first mission is called Boarding Party, and players will encounter Darth Vader for the first time, and escape out of a ship that's been taken over by Stormtroopers. This guide will go over how to find all the Minikits in Boarding Party, so players can get closer to achieving 100% completion.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - Boarding Party Minikit 1
When players see Darth Vader for the first time in Boarding Party, they'll be pushed back and forced to enter through a door on the right. After fighting some Stormtroopers, players will notice a hole above them that leads to the upper floor.
Grapple up, and players will need to pass through some electric beams moving up and down. Kill the flying creature in this room nearby a makeshift tent (players will need to defeat four of them to unlock a Minikit), and then fall down the hole to the left.
Continue forward to the panel by the door, but be sure not to fall into the hidden hole on the floor (players can jump when approaching the panel to avoid falling).
Complete the quick mini-game to open the door, and then players will find the second flying enemy in the following hallway. Now, fall into the hole at the dead-end. To open the door leading east, pull the nearby lever.
Minikit 2
Now, players will see Darth Vader going through the hallway on the other side, attacking some rebels. Turn left to see a switch that can be forced open using a Jedi character's force ability.
For players that don't have access to a Jedi character, or any other type of character that's needed to find the Minikits, they can simply check out the cheat codes for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga to unlock them.
Once players pass the electricity section, use a Jedi, Scavenger, or Dark Side character to swing over the electric panel. The Minikit will be at the end of the path.
Turn left (south) of the Minikit to find another flying enemy that counts towards another Minikit. Now, head east and grapple up to reach the upper area.
Minikit 3
After grappling up to the upper area, disregard the story marker telling players to go up the stairs, and instead, go left into a room where some characters are having a dance party.
Get rid of the Stormtroopers, and once they're gone, change into a Jedi character and use the mind trick to distract the three NPCs left in the room.
This can be done by holding down the X button on the Switch (Y for Xbox, and Triangle for PS4/PS5). Once they're all distracted, some buildable bricks will appear, which will turn into a Minikit.
Minikit 1 Continued
Back at the section where players saw Darth Vader, use a Scoundrel character, like Chewbacca, to shoot the nearby targets with their special ability.
This will open a panel that leads to the upper floor. Grapple up to it.
After fighting a pair of Stormtroopers, turn down a hallway on the right to find the fourth flying enemy, unlocking a Minikit.
Minikit 4
When LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga players reach the room where they need to slide the hologram machine to two spots to open up a door, Stormtroopers will bust out from both sides of the room. Once they're defeated, go into the room on the left, and players will see four switches on the floor that need to be pressed down.
Go back to the previous room to find a brown boxy droid, mount it, and bring it to the switches. Another one of those droids will already be in the room, so use that one too and the computer-controlled character. The Minikit will be behind the locked door.
Minikit 5
After some cutscenes, the current objective will change to "Reach the Escape Pod." Follow the objective marker all the way to the southwest section of the map.
Hit the door opposite the escape pod to find a closet full of knick-knacks. Hit it a few times, and some buildable blocks will appear. Build them to find the final Minikit.
Boarding Party Level Challenges
- Defeat a Stormtrooper with their own weapon.
- Flush Stormtroopers out into space - (When players get to the point where they have the option to build a water cannon or a turret, build the water cannon, and then go into the hallway to activate the terminal. This will flush the Stormtroopers out of the hallway on the other side, completing the challenge)
- Defeat an enemy with an explosive canister.
