Blue Prince has no shortage of puzzles for players to sink their time into, and the Tomb Puzzle is one of the more esoteric ones that requires you to have gained knowledge from a very particular room in the main manor.
The Tomb is a room that players can only draft outside in the West Wing of the manor. This portion of the estate becomes available when you unlock the West Gate by going through the garage, and it contains a puzzle that lets you go down into the underground. If you're struggling to solve the Tomb Puzzle in Blue Prince, this guide is here to provide the solution.
Blue Prince: How To Increase Allowance
If you increase your Allowance in Blue Prince, you will begin each day with a starting sum of Gold to spend in shops.
Hints for the Tomb Puzzle in Blue Prince
If you draft the Tomb as your outside room, you’ll notice that it contains a lot of statues that you can interact with. Interacting with a statue will lower its arm, but you need to interact with the statues in a specific sequence to trigger a hidden mechanism and solve the puzzle.
The hint for the Tomb puzzle is actually found in a place of worship: the Chapel. The Chapel is a red room that takes one coin from your purse each time you enter it, but it contains seven stained-glass artworks depicting different angels. These artworks are high up on the walls and are numbered according to Roman numerals, and they correspond with the statues found in the Tomb.
Blue Prince: All Permanent Upgrades & Additions
There are four major permanent additions in Blue Prince and several minor permanent upgrades players can collect.
How to Solve the Tomb Puzzle in Blue Prince
To solve the Tomb puzzle, all you need to do is interact with the statues in the same order as the mosaics found in the Chapel. The number underneath each mosaic tells you which statue to interact with first.
The defining feature of each statue, and the corresponding mosaic, is the headwear and the item in their hand. By matching these two features, you’ll be able to determine the identity of each statue and activate it accordingly.
The correct order is as follows:
Gardener>Chef>Farmer>Butler>Maid>Rider>Ruler
- The Gardener: Round hat and a plow
- The Chef: Chef’s hat and a pan
- The Farmer: Wide-brim hat and a rake
- The Butler: Top hat and a duster
- The Maid: Headdress and a broom
- The Rider: Equestrian cap and riding crop (long stick)
- The Ruler: A crown and a scepter
Rewards for Solving the Tomb Puzzle in Blue Prince
Once you solve the Tomb Puzzle, you’ll see that the wall next to the statue of the Ruler will rise to reveal a secret tunnel that leads to the Underground Catacombs. This is a great location for the late game and holds many secrets for you to discover.
After going inside, you'll notice a large sign pointing at a blank wall. To unlock it, you can interact with the statue of the grim reaper. Doing so will open up the route leading to the Abandoned Mine and the Reservoir. You’ll also find two fragments of the map of the underground here, along with an upgrade disk.
