In Blue Prince, there are many hidden secrets and loads of lore for players to find. Some of the rooms can only be found after getting to Room 46 for the first time, and some have other prerequisites that must be met before players can get inside them and interact with the puzzles within.

One of the biggest secrets is hiding inside a room called the Throne Room, which is a room you can only get if you have reached the 46th room at least once. In order to solve this puzzle, you will have to collect some objects and get them all in one place together.

The Rhyme of the Throne Room

Blue-Prince-Throne-Room-How-To-Get-Poem

If you are using the Blessing of the Monk from the Shrine in Blue Prince, you will get the option to "save" any room you end the day in, putting it in the outer room on the west path. Ending the day in the Antechamber like it states in Her Ladyship's Diary from her bedroom will allow you to put this room outside, and this is where you will find the following poem. It can also be found behind a powered Garage as well, but the Antechamber is usually easier to get to.

This page reads: "Steady is the Scepter / Deadly is the Stone / Heavy is the Crown / Ready is the Throne." These are hints for the items you need to take to which room.

Steady is the Scepter Solution

The first item you will want to get is the Scepter. This is not an easy item to get, and there are a lot of steps to acquiring it. The first thing you will need to do is have access to the Treasure Trove. You will also need to have solved the Blue Flame puzzle in Blue Prince and unlocked the outdoor elevator down into the underground or found your way through the underground to the Chess Puzzle.

Solving the Chess Puzzle in Blue Prince

The Chess Puzzle is a 5x9 board that looks suspiciously like the blueprint of the house. There are several chess pieces located next to it; when you put the pieces in certain spots, they light up. These correspond to the chess piece statues inside many of the rooms. The chess pieces aren't the same every time you draft these rooms, so everyone's answer to this puzzle will be different.

The example below shows that the Office, Study, Chapel, Observatory, Den, and Nook all correspond to the needed pieces, making sure each has a place that can light up on the board. There are at least two rooms that can be drafted for each piece on the board, and these are:

Blue-Prince-Throne-Room-CASTLE-Chess-Castle-Move

Once you have solved the Chess puzzle, you will need to choose one of the pieces that shows up on the wall of the room. There is a clue on the wall that you see if you have broken down the cracked part. It's a single word: CASTLE. It refers to a move in chess called "Castleing," which is a predetermined set of rules that allows you to move both the King and the Rook at the same time.

Blue-Prince-Throne-Room-CASTLE-Puzzle-First

To solve this puzzle, you need to beat the chess puzzle twice, choosing the Rook first and the King second or vice versa. This will open a door in the Chess puzzle room for you to explore.

The Unknown in the Underground

Once you have completed the Castle move and opened the door, you can head down into a place called "The Unknown." Inside, there will be eight statues, each holding a Mora Jai puzzle to solve. Starting with the first statue on the left when you enter and moving around the room, you need to fill each of the corners with the black color to finish each of them. Keep in mind:

  • Green tiles swap positions with the color of the mirrored tile.
  • When you press a Yellow tile, it will move up one tile.
  • When you press a Purple tile, it will move down one tile.
  • The Pink tiles rotate all the surrounding tiles clockwise.
  • Black tiles move all other tiles in the same row one to the right.
  • Orange tiles change to match whatever tile is in the majority.
  • Gray tiles don't do anything.

Inside each of these Mora Jai boxes are hints regarding how to interact with this Unknown room. There is a riddle that goes like this:

Blue-Prince-Throne-Room-Scepter-Mora-Jai
  • Will a Youth Approach: This part of the riddle refers to the main character, Simon, whom you are playing as.
  • With Empty Arms Without Gifts Nor Gold Nor Mannered Charms: You cannot have anything in your inventory, including gems, coins, or Ivory Dice. This also means items you can purchase, find, or craft.
  • On the Sacred Hour That Timeworn Phrase: This is in reference to how the solution to several puzzles has been 1:30, like the Clocktower puzzle in Blue Prince.
  • In Aries Court Where the King Now Lays: This is the Unknown Room you are in, where the tomb is in the center.
  • A Sullen Cross as Five Stars Align: This is about the Southern Cross, a Constellation you can get in the Observatory in Blue Prince.
  • And in the Sky Above a Brilliant Sign: The sun is out, so it has to be 1:30PM and not AM.
  • A Patient Figure a Reckoning Great the Black Key is Lying With the Last King of Eight: You'll find a black key in the room if you meet all the requirements.

The solution to this riddle is to have nothing in your inventory, draft the Observatory, and get the Southern Cross as one of your Constellations for the day. Then, hang around inside the Unknown room until the clock hits 1:30PM.

Each in-game hour is about five minutes, and the day starts at 8AM, so you might have to do a bit of waiting. At 1:30PM, a stone will rise out of the center of the floor, and there's yet another puzzle inside.

The CASTLE Cipher

There is a puzzle on the wall of the Chess Puzzle room in the Precipice in the underground; you need to break the wall with a crafted Blue Prince item called the Powerhammer, which is made of a Hammer, a Battery, and a Broken Lever in the Workroom.

A hint for this can be found in the Safehouse. Behind it, you will find the solution to which puzzles you should choose, but it will be incomplete. You might recognize this as the answer to a previous puzzle, but it is also related to this one. It looks like this:

  • C _ _
  • A _ _
  • S _ _
  • T _ _
  • L _ _
  • E _ _

There are hints for the required letters all over the house. You can find them in these places:

  • The Vault: In Safe Deposit Box 149, you will find a fake ID for Mary. It will have letters inside it on the upper right.
  • Secret Passage: On the back of the door, you can find more letters.
  • Cloister: There are four more letters on the back of the statue in the Cloister.
  • The Locker Room in Blue Prince: Inside one of the many lockers you can unlock, there is half of a math tests from a Classroom.
  • The Kennel: Sitting on the counter is a picture of a cat with some letters on it.
  • The Blackbridge Grotto: There is a post-it note on the left side of the first room in the Grotto, to the left of the pedestal, where you put the Microchips from Blue Prince.

You will also see a screenshot of part of the Final Exam in the Classrooms of Blue Prince. It has the Ejaran words for the cardinal directions. Now that you know those words, and you have all the letters of the CASTLE puzzle, you will get this message:

  • C I X
  • A D D
  • S I X
  • T O R
  • L O R
  • E T T

109 in Roman numerals is CIX. Then, you need to ADD SIX to make 115. The next words are all Ejaran: TOR can be found on the maps in Grade 4 Classroom with the Magnifying Glass, LOR is the Ejaran word for "word," but it has a very broad meaning, and ETT can be found on the Final Exam (and a few other places, because it is a direction).

So the final part of the cipher is "Counterclockwise Word East." This means that you need to turn the dial counterclockwise to the word "East." Here is what you need to do to open up the clock puzzle:

Blue-Prince-Throne-Room-Unknown-Tomb-Key-Clock
  • The clock starts at 1:30; press the left arrow to rewind time 21 times until the clock in the center reads 1:09.
  • Press the orange button in the center of the clock.
  • Use the right arrow to wind the clock 6 times until it hits 1:15.
  • Press the orange button in the center.
  • Next, you need to turn the clock's hands counterclockwise to the word East. Press the rewind button or left arrow 49 times until the time reads 12:26 and the big hand is pointing at the word EAST on the clock's face.
  • Press the orange button in the center, and a key will appear.

Where to Use the Key of Aries

Blue-Prince-Throne-Room-Unknown-Key-Of-Aries

Once you have solved the clock puzzle above and gotten the Key of Aries the first time, the tomb will stay raised. You can therefore go back to the Unknown room and grab the key after solving the clock puzzle again, regardless of the time. So, if you can't get the right rooms in the right places on that day, don't worry too much about it.

Blue-Prince-Throne-Room-How-To-Get-Treasure-Room

The hint of where to use the key can be found in the chest in the Treasure Trove. If you read all the notes inside the locked chests in the Treasure Trove, one of the true pages says that the "true treasure... Is not in the house." Once again, you need to use the Blessing of the Monk from the Shrine to get this Treasure Trove outside the house.

End the day in the Treasure Trove to make sure it's in your outdoor pool for the next day. This will cause a treasure chest to spawn. Open it to find the Scepter inside. Now that you have the Scepter, you can keep it between days by ending the day in the same color room as the Scepter, or you can find it again in the Treasure Trove if it is no longer in your inventory.

Deadly is the Stone Solution

Thankfully, getting the Scepter is the most labor-intensive thing you'll need to do for the Throne Room's secret. The next part of the poem reads "Deadly is the stone," so you need to find a deadly stone in the manor. This item is also used to unlock Curse Mode in Blue Prince.

  • First, you need to draft the Book Shop. This room is rare and can only be drafted from the Library. It will not appear if you are drafting it from any other room.
  • Purchase the book called The Curse of the Black Bridge. It will cost 40 Blue Prince gold coins.
  • Head back into the Library and interact with the paper on the table in the middle of the room.
  • This is a checkout list for all the books you have available in your Library. The Curse of the Black Bridge should now be available.
  • Check the box for The Curse of the Black Bridge.
  • The next time you draft the Library, the book will be on the center table.
  • Flip through the whole book until the end.
  • Draft the Gift Shop.
  • Now that you have read The Curse of the Black Bridge, there will be a new item to buy: a CURSED COFFER. It will cost you 15 gold coins.
  • Every time you draft the Shrine in the outdoor space, the Cursed Coffer will now appear inside it.
  • You cannot open this coffer with a key; you must break into it with the Sledgehammer.
  • Take out the Deadly Stone inside. This will Curse you and unlock Curse Mode.
  • The best thing to do is to get this item last so you won't have to try to draft inside the house while cursed.

Heavy is the Crown Solution

The final item you will need is the Crown of the Blueprints. This item is found in Room 46 every time after the first time you get inside it. It will be sitting on the desk next to the Sanctum Key.

Drafting the Throne Room first will help you to get into Room 46 faster, as it has a hidden lever for Room 46 behind the throne.

Now that you have the Cursed Effigy, the Scepter that must be set to the color Blue, and the Crown of the Blueprints, you are finally ready to go into the Throne Room. This must be drafted the same day you have all these items in your inventory. Once you step inside, a cutscene will play, giving you more Blue Prince lore.
