All Constellations (& What They Mean) In Blue Prince

Blue Prince is a puzzle game that has you unlocking a whole bunch of rooms in order to find the final room: Room 46. In order to get to the end of the game and finally become your great uncle's true heir, you will need to go through many rooms and unlock items.

One of the many items you can collect are Stars, which only come from the Blue Prince secret called Observatories. But what you do with the Stars and what you get in return for those Stars might not be intuitive for some players.

All Constellations for the Observatory in Blue Prince

All the Constellations you can unlock in Blue Prince can be found in the book you can interact with inside the Observatory. Stars are one of the few items that you keep between Days, so you can keep adding those Stars up and get more and more rewards from doing so throughout the days you play. There are eleven total Constellations you can get in Blue Prince.

North Star: 1 Star, +1 gold Blue Prince coins.
The Twins: 2 Stars, two Blue Prince locked trunks appear in the starting room.
The Slice: 3 Stars, +3 steps.
Diamondus Minor: 4 Stars, +1 gem.
The Southern Cross: 5 Stars, rooms with four doors are more common.
Farmer's Apple: 7 Stars, apples eaten give +5 steps.
Clavis, the Key: 8 Stars, +1 key.
Diamondus Major: 11 Stars, +5 Blue Prince gems.
Draxus, the Dead: 12 Stars, Dead End rooms are more common.
The Sail: 15 Stars, everything is 50% off in the stores.
Florealla, Bloom of the Sky: 20 Stars, green rooms are more likely to contain special flowers.

Numbers of Stars not included in this list will give you a combination of two of the lower ranked Constellations. For example, if you have nine stars, you will get some combination that equal nine, such as Diamondus Minor and The Southern Cross together. Here are all the combinations:

How to Get (and Use) Stars in Blue Prince

Every time you draft an Observatory and walk inside it for the first time, you will permanently gain one Star. Now that you have that one Star, you will keep it for the entire run; you do not spend Stars to get the rewards listed above.

In order to use them, you just need to point the telescope inside of the Observatory out of the open slit in the ceiling. This requires that you turn the wheel up the stairs once to lift the telescope, then keep turning the crank attached to the telescope until it is facing out the opening. After that, your telescope should always be pointing in the right direction. All you have to do is look through the eyepiece of the telescope to get your daily benefits.
