There are several rooms in Blue Prince that serve a special function. The Boiler Room is one of only a handful of Mechanical Rooms in Blue Prince that can activate mechanisms and provide power to other rooms.

The Boiler Room initially starts offline, and you won't have access to the other side of the metal walkway until you can turn the Boilers back on. To solve the Boiler Room puzzle, Blue Prince players should follow this walkthrough, which explains what the Boiler Room does and provides a step-by-step method to get the Blue Prince Boiler Room back online.
What Is The Boiler Room For In Blue Prince?
The estate's BOILER ROOM is known as a POWER SOURCE because it provides steam power to various rooms in the house. Steam power is conveyed room-to-room via ducts that run across the ceiling, and power can be transported across great distances as long as you continue to string together rooms that contain power ducts.
If you are able to find the Boiler Room puzzle solution and power the Boiler Room, Blue Prince will give you the ability to channel power through power ducts that connect to one of the three doors in the floorplan.
Not every room contains power ducts, but if it does, you should see the duct line on the ceiling leading away from each doorway.
If a room requires power to activate certain mechanisms (such as the Laboratory), you must first power the Boiler, draft rooms with ducts to connect it to that room (or build it adjacent), then redirect the power so it channels toward that room.
By default, power will be directed toward the middle doorway, but it can be adjusted to the right or left-side doorway instead with a switch underneath the main display.

Walk into the Boiler Room, and you will notice a few things: there is another metal walkway, which contains a sealed doorway, and the short extendable bridge and gate to get to this inaccessible side of the room are currently unpowered and inaccessible.
In the corner of the inaccessible metal walkway, you will see an unpowered elevator, too.
Blue Prince: How to Find the Lock Code for the Campsite
There are plenty of mysteries, secrets, and puzzles outside of the Manor as well in Blue Prince.
To activate the Boiler Room and solve the Boiler Room puzzle, Blue Prince players must activate all three boilers, some of which cannot be accessed at first. Follow this step-by-step walkthrough to quickly and efficiently complete the Boiler Room puzzle in Blue Prince:
- 1. Turn the first boiler at the bottom of the stairs on
- 2. Rotate the red pipe once so it directs steam toward the six-pipe interchange mechanism in the middle of the room
- 3. Rotate the y-shaped pipe until you connect the first boiler to the back left pipe (facing away from the first boiler). This leads to the track and will power it.
- 4. Watch the moving track until there is a break in the metal sheets, then rotate the y-shaped pipe again to turn off the track. If timed right, the second boiler will become unblocked.
- 5. Turn on the second boiler, which releases steam into a pipe that leads around the corner to the first red pipe.
- 6. Look for a small blue redirector lever on the pipe that leads away from the second boiler. Turn this to the right to redirect the second boiler's steam.
- 7. Rotate the red pipe so it lines up with the second boiler's pipe, which should power up the elevator.
- 8. Take the elevator up and pull the lever on the other side of the blocked gate and closed walkway. The gate will open.
- 9. Turn on the third boiler on the metal walkway, then head back downstairs. With how your pipes are set up, this will also open the sealed doorway.
- 10. Rotate the red pipe once so it directs the first boiler's steam instead of the second (vertically).
- 11. Rotate the y-shaped pipe three times, which should extend the metal path to the now-unlocked gate to the other half of the walkway. This will also direct the first boiler's energy upward into the top mechanism.
- 12. Go back to the second boiler, and follow the pipe leading away from it until you find the blue knob switch again. Turn it to point up, which will direct the second boiler's energy to the mechanism at the top.
- 13. Head up the stairs and across the walkway, then turn the blue knob next to the third boiler so it points left. This directs the third boiler's energy to the top mechanism.
Blue Prince: How To Solve Dartboard Puzzle (Billiards Room)
In the Billiards Room, you will find a Dartboard Puzzle that doesn't involve actually throwing any darts.
With all three boilers connected to the central computer, three circles will appear in the bottom left of the screen – one for each connected boiler. From here, all you have to do is click the "Activate" button to turn on the power source and complete the Boiler Room puzzle!
Blue Prince players can redirect the direction of the Boiler Room power by pulling a lever located right below this display to the left or right. The display at the top of the room shows which of the three Boiler Room doorways it is currently powering.
Remember, it will only power up a room if a duct connects it to the Boiler Room, or if it is adjacent to the Boiler Room. Either way, you can only power up one direction at a time.
