11 Faceless One

Chisel Of Oblivion

The Faceless One is the first boss in Blasphemous 2. He serves as a tutorial boss that eases the player into the game's basic mechanics. The Faceless One has only two moves, both of which can be easily dodged by jumping and crouch-dashing. He is the easiest and least interesting fight in the game.

10 Svsona

Formosa Fembra

The antepenultimate boss of Blasphemous 2 is a major letdown. For a fight quite late into the game, players will definitely be expecting an interesting and exhilarating fight. However, Svsona is an incredibly bland boss with lackluster attacks, making up for an uninteractive fight.

While the character design of Svsona is flawless, the same can't be said about the entire fight. However, a saving grace of this boss fight is the possible addition of Yerma (if players successfully complete her side quest). Svsona is a frustrating fight because players can see the potential of what this boss could have been if she had more moves to make her truly shine.

9 Orospina

Lady Embroiderer

First and foremost, Orospina is a pretty good boss fight from a design perspective. The reason why she ranks this low is simply because the remaining fights in the game have more flavor and charm to them. Orospina has a lot of precise moves showcasing her mastery of the rapier.

Apart from these upsides, there are not a lot of interesting things that take place in this fight. It is simply a solid boss fight that does its job, but it does not bring anything outstanding to the table.

8 Radames

The Great Preceptor

Radamés is a skeletal monstrosity that has devastating but telegraphed attacks. He is a phenomenal boss in terms of design and ambiance. However, the actual fight is a bit of a slog at times. He doesn't really have the flashiest moves, and most of them are quite easy to dodge.

His eerie presence in the battle arena — and the transition to the second phase — are great highlights that make Radamés a genuinely terrifying enemy to go up against in the first playthrough.

7 Benedicta

Of The Endless Orison

Benedicta is a unique and fun boss fight. A good portion of the fight is spent jumping between platforms to hit Benedicta floating in the air. It is also a decently challenging fight as Benedicta has some powerful moves that can quickly deplete the Penitent One's health if players are not careful.

This boss fight tests the platforming and movement capabilities of the players in an epic fashion. Benedicta is not an incredible boss by any means, but she is one that perfectly fits in the twisted world of Cvstodia.

6 Incarnate Devotion

The Last Child Of The Miracle

Incarnate Devotion is the final boss of Blasphemous 2. For the finale of a memorable journey, Incarnate Devotion is too easy of a fight to close the books on the base game.

Using Veredicto and wailing at its heart should be more than enough for most players to defeat this boss with ease. The visuals, arena, sound effects, and abilities are absolutely stunning. These are the reasons why Incarnate Devotion ranks in the sixth spot — despite being an underwhelming final battle.

5 Sinodo

Sínodo is the boss where players can see the developers, The Game Kitchen, go all out in terms of boss design. Sínodo has a multitude of attacks depending on the face that it has currently equipped. This makes the players always stay on their feet and react to wildly different abilities.

While the masked face of Sínodo is an extreme version of Our Lady of the Charred Visage from the base game, it is still an extremely enjoyable fight that gives players an unexpected challenge while exploring The Severed Tower. Sínodo is an example of a great boss with the right amount of difficulty and fun.

4 Odon

Of The Confraternity Of Salt

Odón is the only boss in Blasphemous 2 that players can encounter twice during their journey in Cvstodia. The representative of the Confraternity of Salt initially appears en route to the Sunken Cathedral. After a brief altercation, he will take leave and allow players to enter the cathedral.

After exploring most of the cathedral, the real battle with Odón will commence. This is a boss fight that can quickly get overwhelming if players are not aware of what they are doing. Odón has attacks with high damage and is also quite persistent with good defensive abilities. Odón is a great litmus test for the player's combat prowess and is one of the most difficult bosses in the game.

3 Lesmes And Infanta

Incorrupt Sacristan

Lesmes and Infanta is one of the most iconic fights in the game. Players start off by fighting Lesmes. After defeating him, Infanta will be the next opponent. When players think they are finally done, the dynamic duo will arise for one final stand as a team to put the utmost pressure on the Penitent One.

This boss battle is pure mayhem — in a good way. None of their attacks feel unfair, and the chaos adds to the charm of the fight. Lesmes and Infanta top off Crown of Towers, a phenomenal area, with one of the best fights in the entire game.

2 Afilaor

Sentinel Of The Emery

Afilaor is the creepiest boss in Blasphemous 2. Encountered soon after exiting Mother of Mothers (one of the best areas across all Metroidvanias), Afilaor is also one of the best enemies to fight, as he has three phases of spectacular moves that can catch players off-guard. However, with practice, every single move can be countered. This is what makes him one of the best bosses in the game — he offers a near perfect mix of difficult yet rewarding.

With each attempt, players will only enjoy the fight more. The unsettling atmosphere of the arena and the variations of his base moves from phase to phase are the biggest features that make Afilaor an extremely well-designed boss fight.
