The Man in Stone has to be one of the few unique side quests in Black Myth: Wukong. Players will be treated as friends, enemies, and customers by this character throughout the quest.
It’s not necessarily a long quest, as it depends on your skills and how fast players can beat a boss. There will be a Transformation Spell rewarded at the end of the Man in Stone quest in Black Myth: Wukong alongside valuable materials in his store once he opens it.
Black Myth: Wukong- How To Open The Purple Seal Doors in the Pagoda Realm
Opening the doors in the Pagoda Realm requires Black Myth: Wukong players to undertake the task of beating a Yaoguai Chief.
Where To Find Man In Stone In Black Myth: Wukong
After making your way through chapter two and defeating a couple of bosses, you will eventually unlock the Rockrest Flat Keeper’s Shrine in Fright Cliff. From there, turn slightly left and go to the path covered with a wooden platform.
Go right and walk all the way without taking any turns until you see a small stone bridge with an enemy at the end. Head down the slope and turn left to walk along a path under the bridge, where players will find the Man in Stone. After you are done with the conversation, walk out of the path and turn right to find the Squall Hideout Shrine.
How To Complete Man In Stone Quest In Black Myth: Wukong
To complete the Man in Stone quest in Black Myth: Wukong, players must retrieve the
Stone Essence from the creature found inside a cave. Travel to the Rockrest Flat Keeper’s Shrine and go inside the cave. Immediately look right to find a slope leading up. Proceed forward until the Destined One finds the Mother of Stones boss.
Defeating it is quite easy as it does not move, but it will summon annoying enemies. Once it’s killed, you receive the Stone Essence. Go back to the Man in Stone and hand it over, only for him to refuse to give it back. Hit the character to trigger a boss fight, and after you win, interact with him to get the
Azure Dust Transformation Spell.
Finally, go rest at the nearby Keeper’s Shrine and then come back to the Man in Stone to access his shop:

Sadly, although Man in Stone is a merchant, he won’t move to the secret Zodiac Village in Black Myth: Wukong where all the merchants are gathered. So, every time you require something from Man in Stone’s store, players must visit this spot.
