Crafting new weapons is one of the quickest ways to deal more damage in Black Myth: Wukong. Crafting new weapons will require various resources found throughout the world that can be crafted at the nearest Shrine after completing the first few bosses in the game.
One key resource players will need to craft new staffs are
Yaoguai Cores, which can be fairly rare depending on your play style. They will be needed for many crafting recipes, and players can start farming them early into the game; here's how to do it.

How To Get Yaoguai Cores In Black Myth: Wukong
There are three ways to get Yaoguai Cores; looting chests, killing enemies, and buying them from the store. The first method is to find them in chests, though this is rare and not a guaranteed method. Finding chests will require constant exploration, but they will always provide something useful if not a Yaoguai Core. The next method is killing enemies, though not just any enemy will drop a Yaoguai Core.
Some bosses and larger enemies tend to drop a Yaoguai Core, though it is not a guarantee. They are often dropped by enemies that don't respawn, as they are much stronger than other enemies found in the surrounding area. Simply progress the game and continue to take on every boss and optional boss and you'll see a steady stream of Yaoguai Cores.
The final method is by purchasing them from the shop, though they won't be immediately available and will require the player to first reach Chapter 2. At any Shrine, Yaoguai Cores can be purchased for 900 Will a piece. While this is a definite method, Will has many other uses and Yaoguai Cores can constantly be found, so it is usually best to leave this as a last resort option.

How To Get Will Fast
If you are deciding to spend your Will, it's best to recover it quickly. Will is given whenever the player defeats an enemy, but can also be found by breaking pots. Pots can be broken with either a basic attack or by sprinting into them, with Will dropping as a small green flame, unlike a Spirit's Purple flame. You can also find hovering green flames which can be interacted with to refill your Gourd by half and also be a sum of Will to be freely picked up. Will can also be earned by selling things at the shop, just be careful not to sell crafting materials you may need again down the road.
Will is not lost on death and can't be lost in any way after it is earned.
