Black Myth: Wukong has multiple hidden bosses that are impossible to find without the right items. The same applies to the Loong bosses. Players will not be able to find any of them until they get their hands on an item known as Loong Scales.

This particular item is hidden away in Chapter 2, so players will have to beat Black Bear Guai before they can reach this particular item. In this guide, Black Myth: Wukong players will learn how they can find the Loong Scales and what to do with them.

How To Get Loong Scales In Black Myth: Wukong

Players must reach the Yellow Wind Ridge area in Black Myth: Wukong to find the Loong Scales.

  • Activate the Sandgate Village Entrance Keeper's Shrine. Disengage from the shrine and cross the wooden bridge. Climb the slope and go down until you see an enemy with a shield.
  • Beat all the enemies in the area and open the big gate on the right. Enter to initiate a fight with the King of the Flowing Sands and the Second Prince. Beat them both and activate the Valley of Despair Keeper's Shrine.
  • Once again, move away from the Shrine and enter the cavernous area ahead. Follow the main path until you see an arena with a mural on the walls. Drop below to trigger the fight with the First Prince of the Flowing Sands.
  • After defeating the enemy, approach the wall with murals. Use Wandering Wight's Spirit attack to create a gap in the wall. Enter through here to find a locked chest. Alternatively, they can bait the First Prince of the Flowing Sands into attacking the wall.
  • Open it to find the Loong Scales. Now that players have acquired the Loong Scales, they can start hunting the Loong bosses.
