The Great Pagoda is a small secret area inside the Pagoda Realm itself. The area becomes first accessible during the third chapter when the character makes it to The New West in Black Myth: Wukong. Upon first arrival, players might get confused about what to do at this location, as all anyone can see are murals on the walls with nothing to interact with.
Fans of games inspired by Chinese mythology should wait until the end of the game, when they will get a surprise waiting for them. This guide includes the location of The Great Pagoda Keeper's Shrine in Black Myth: Wukong.
Black Myth: Wukong— How To Get Ashen Slumber Transformation
The Ashen Slumber Transformation requires Black Myth: Wukong players to traverse the tricky Pagoda Realm.
How To Reach The Great Pagoda
After defeating Captain Wise-Voice and unlocking the Outside the Wheel Keeper's Shrine, you must progress until you reach the Snow-Vieled Trail. From the Keeper's Shrine, head right down the slope to a wooden bridge. Cross this bridge and go past the numerous breakable enemy statues standing still.
Keep following this path, heading towards the Pagoda Realm in the distance until you see an interactable point. Interact with this, and after the cutscene, you will find yourself in The Great Pagoda with a Keeper's Shrine to your left.
What To Do At The Great Pagoda
After activating the Shrine during the third chapter, you can look up to see two murals on the walls on the left side. These murals are the same art pieces you get to see at the end of the chapters. By completing a new chapter and returning to this location, you will see that the murals on the wall will expand. Upon defeating the final boss and completing the game, you will have the option to start NG+ or continue your journey, which will drop you off before the final boss.
Return to the Keeper's Shrine once that happens, and head to the middle mural, which should be the only one missing. If you have unlocked all the secret areas in the game and completed the Treasure Hunter quest before coming here, you can find an NPC here. What follows after the cutscene is a series of boss fights and the secret ending to the game.
