The drunken pig, also known as the Yellow-Robed Squire, is a character in Black Myth: Wukong that players will encounter in Yellow Wind Ridge. While fans are not required to interact with this NPC, there is a quest that centers around him. This guide is here to fully detail that quest, and it will help players reach the end of the drunken pig's story in Black Myth: Wukong.

All the Keeper's Shrines and areas referenced in this guide are found in Yellow Wind Ridge, Black Myth: Wukong's second level.

Talk to Drunken Pig Near Rockrest Flat

Players will first encounter the drunken pig in an open area that is just beyond the Rockrest Flat Keeper's Shrine in Fright Cliff. To access that area, fans of action games must simply walk past the checkpoint and head forward until they reach a small wooden fence. Players can easily bypass that fence with a jump or roll, and the drunken pig is sitting on a rock beyond it.

Get Sobering Stone Near Windrest Bridge

The first meeting with the drunken pig will reveal that he needs something from Windrest, and it turns out to be a Key Item called a " Sobering Stone." To claim that item, players must defeat the Tiger Vanguard in the Crouching Tiger Temple. Once fans have dispatched that foe, they should take the path that leads out of the back of the arena and follow it until they reach the Windrest Bridge Keeper's Shrine.

From that checkpoint, players should cross the nearby bridge and make their way to the back-left corner of the village. Fans of games inspired by Chinese mythology will find a pot that awards a Sobering Stone when broken in that location, and the images that are above should make reaching it quite easy.

Give Sobering Stone to Drunken Pig Near Rockrest Flat

Players must now return to the drunken pig in the open area near the Rockrest Flat Keeper's Shrine and give him the Sobering Stone. This action will cause the character to stand, and he will make reference to the Temple of Crouching Tiger before leaving.

Give Jade Lotus to Druken Pig Near Temple Entrance

Players should now travel to the Temple Entrance Keeper's Shrine in the Crouching Tiger Temple. Fans of games with RPG elements should then climb the stairs and enter the alcove on the right just before they reach the arena where they battled the Tiger Vanguard. The drunken pig will be sitting in that alcove, and players can make him move by handing over a Jade Lotus.

While it is expected that most players will have some Jade Lotus in their inventories, fans that do not should simply look for the material within pools of water in Yellow Wind Ridge. One such pool can be found at the very beginning of the level, and players can quickly reach it by using Black Myth: Wukong's fast-travel mechanic to return to the Village Entrance, climbing the nearby stairs, and going left at the top.

Fight Yellow-Robed Squire Near Rockrest Flat

Players can now return to the open area where they initially encountered the drunken pig, and they will find that the creature now wants to do battle. Upon defeating the Yellow-Robed Squire in this location, the NPC will pass through a crack in the large doors that are nearby.

Pass Through Doors in Yellow-Robed Squire Arena

Players will now discover that they are also capable of passing through the crack, and the Kingdom of Sahali waits for them on the other side. There are two Black Myth: Wukong bosses in this secret area: the "Tiger Vanguard," who is just beyond the Sandgate Pass Keeper's Shrine, and Fuban, who can be made to appear by speaking with an NPC near a drum on the cliff past the Sandgate Bound Keeper's Shrine. Once both those enemies are slain, players will be returned to the Yellow-Robed Squire's arena and receive the Wind Tamer Vessel and the Sky-Piercing Horn Material.
