A new weekly challenge just dropped in Bitlife, and it’s called the Love Bug challenge. This time, you will be living a pretty wild life. Players will have to chase a science career, catch a few STIs, and spread a little ‘love’ to others. For players who are ready for some chaos, here’s how to complete this challenge.

Bitlife’s Love Bug Challenge
During the Love Bug challenge, fans will need to:
- Be Born in California
- Become a Microbiologist
- Contract 3+ STIs
- Give a Gift to a Lover
- Give an STI to a Lover
How to Be Born in California in Bitlife
Like most challenges, the first step only requires you to be born in a specific area. So start a new life like you normally would. Pick any gender you want, then choose a city in California. Fans can go with places like Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Sacramento, Oakland, or San Jose.
How to Become a Microbiologist in Bitlife
For this step, Bitizens should study hard in school and try to keep their grades up. If possible, try reading science books. After high school, get into a university to get a degree in biology. Keep studying hard while you are there until you graduate. Once you're done, go to the full-time jobs list and look for the Microbiologist or Jr. Microbiologist job. Apply for it and pass the interview to become a microbiologist.
How to Contract and Give STIs in Bitlife
This part is kinda random, but to get an STI, players will need to do a bunch of hookups. So go to the ‘Activities’ tab, tap on ‘Love,’ and then choose ‘Hook Up.’ When you are hooking up, the game will ask if you want to use protection. Say no because you want to increase your chances of catching an STI. Keep doing this until your character gets one. You’ll get a pop-up when it happens.
Keep doing it until you get one. Once you do, you can either get treated or keep going until you’ve caught three. To pass one on, hook up again without protection while your character still has an STI. That will also complete the final step of Bitlife’s Love Bug challenge.
How to Give a Gift to a Lover in Bitlife
If your character gets asked out, say yes. Or if no one asks, go to the ‘Love’ section and find someone to date. Once you’ve got a lover, head over to the ‘Relationships’ tab, choose your partner, and choose the gift option.
