How to Find the Laff Riot in Baldur's Gate 3

Baldur's Gate 3: Elfsong Tavern location on the map

Once you reach Act 3, you will encounter numerous activities, some of which are in Elfsong Tavern. It is located in the Lower City of Baldur's Gate, to the west of Stormshore Tabernacle. Look for Elfsong Tavern at coordinates: X:80, Y:0. When you find Elfsong Tavern, follow these steps:

Once in Elfsong Tavern, where the locals are having fun, look for Laff Riot.
Go to the right and search for a round table near the windows.
Next to the table, you will see a sign that says "Laff Riot Now Open."
Enter the Double Door next to the sign.

How to Win the Laff Riot in Baldur's Gate 3

Once in the small room where the Laff Riot is taking place, you will notice several NPCs. You can talk to all of them and find out that the local comedian is good at his job. Approach the character standing on the stage and speak to him. In the dialogue with Harvard Willoughby, you will learn that the Laff Riot contest is taking place here, and he will ask if you want to participate. Select the "Suits me - I’m pretty good at riots. I’m in" option to begin.

After that, the comedy battle will start, and Harvard Willoughby will be the first to tell his jokes. Your objective is to make more people laugh than he does. Here are the dialogue options you need to choose to win the Laff Riot:

Willoughby the comedian, folks! Were his jokes good, or did he just smell funny?
I tried sleeping with a dragonborn the other night, but it didn't work out – he had a reptile dysfunction.
Our cleric tried to cast Healing Word on a ham, but it was already cured.

After the comedy battle is over, people in the room will start laughing and applauding loudly, which means you have won the Laff Riot. You won't get any reward for this, but it guarantees you a good time.
