Summary
- Killers can use Memento Moris in Dead By Daylight instead of hooking Survivors to sacrifice them.
- Some Moris are more elaborate than others; style and gore ratings vary among Killers.
- Players have their favorite Moris, with some being more gory, stylish, or creepy than others.
The Memento Mori in Dead By Daylight can be a way to spice up the game when Survivors are on death hook. Instead of hooking them one more time and sacrificing them to The Entity, Killers can instead kill them by their own hand.
All players have their favorite Moris, and some Survivors even ask for the Killer to mori them as the game draws to a close. Over the years, the Memento Moris have become more elaborate and gory, but which are the best in Dead By Daylight?
37 The Pig
Amanda's Very Basic Mori
The Pig's mori is the most boring of the lot, with just a few quick slashes and stabs. It has no style, no panache, no horror. It would be better if she used her ambush attack and reverse bear traps. This mori could undergo a rework to make it just as effective as some of the more recent moris.
- Gore: 1/5
- Style: 0/5
- Creepiness: 0/5
36 The Trapper
What, No Trap?!
The original Trapper mori doesn't use his traps, just a few swipes with his weapon. The Naughty Bear's unique mori is better; he throws the Survivor into an open bear trap. Trapper's mori deserves an update to include his bear traps at least.
- Gore: 1/5
- Style: 0/5
- Creepiness: 0/5
35 The Wraith
A Quick Bludgeoning
The Wraith mori would be more effective if he utilized his Wailing Bell. It would be far creepier if he crept up behind the Survivor, uncloaked, and pounced. This mori is too short and doesn't show Wraith's full range of skills.
- Gore: 1/5
- Style: 0/5
- Creepiness: 0/5
34 The Hillbilly
Expected More From That Chainsaw
There is no quick bludgeoning for this speedy Killer. The Hillbilly relishes his work and even stops to admire a job well done. It could be improved by having him run chainsaw-first onto the screen, just like he does in Dead By Daylight.
- Gore: 2/5
- Style: 1/5
- Creepiness: 0/5
33 The Skull Merchant
A Lackluster Attempt
The Skull Merchant brings a creepy mix of flirty and deadly to her mori, but it could include more drones. The way she sashays up behind the Survivor is great. However, her final kill is just a bit boring and lacks style.
- Gore: 2/5
- Style: 1/5
- Creepiness: 1/5
32 Legion
The Lone Legion
A boring but bloody mori from The Legion which could be improved by bringing in the other members to join in the frenzied kill. They are Legion for a reason, so to have the whole gang there to finish off the Survivor would be perfect.
- Gore: 2/5
- Style: 2/5
- Creepiness: 1/5
31 The Shape
Not Gory Enough
Michael Myers' mori is simple but effective, and many players love it. Its only downside is that it isn't gory enough. The way The Shape stares into the Survivor's eyes is very creepy, but there just isn't enough blood splatter.
- Gore: 1/5
- Style: 3/5
- Creepiness: 2/5
30 The Twins
Two Moris In One
The player gets to be either Charlotte or Victor as they perform the mori. Both are mildly gory, and Victor's is creepier than Charlotte's, but they're not too exciting. Out of both of the Twins, Victor's is bloodier and has a bit more style overall.
- Gore: 2/5
- Style: 2/5
- Creepiness: 1/5
29 The Huntress
Angry Hatchets
If The Huntress had thrown a hatchet or two, this would have been a great mori. It's pretty bloody, but that's all. Huntress's cries of anger let players know how enraged she is, but it should be longer and bloodier.
- Gore: 3/5
- Style: 2/5
- Creepiness: 0/5
28 The Nemesis
Nemesis SMASH!
The Nemesis uses his creepy tentacle to pick up the Survivor before slamming them to the ground with a huge Nemesis stomp at the end. It is suitably bloody, but it could be longer and involve his zombies somehow.
