Carol Danvers, who most fans know as Captain Marvel these days, has been a mainstay in comic books since her introduction in Marvel Super-Heroes #13 in March 1968. Since then, she has appeared in animation, blockbuster movies, and many Marvel video games.

With cosmic powers that help her rival the likes of The Hulk and Thanos, Captain Marvel is considered one of the strongest beings in the Marvel universe. This is often reflected in her gameplay, as she is able to easily lift any object with seemingly unlimited strength and fire photon blasts out of her hands, although some games portray her as a person and a hero better than others.

Before she was Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers debuted in video games with Marvel Ultimate Alliance as Ms. Marvel. Despite her being one of Marvel's most powerful characters, Ultimate Alliance made her one of the base characters on the large roster.

Since Ultimate Alliance is a dungeon-crawler RPG, Ms. Marvel featured all the abilities that one might expect from her: photon energy blasts, boosting herself with binary and cosmic shielding, and flight. Every hero has to start somewhere, and Carol Danvers quickly became a favorite because she would be a recurring character in the entire trilogy.

Similar, Yet Satisfying To Play As In The Sequel

With Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 being an adaptation of the Civil War storyline, fans wanting to play Ms. Marvel in the sequel will have to side with the Pro-Registration heroes. Carol sides with Tony Stark, aka. Iron Man, in the battle between heroes, and fans will have a chance to learn about her and her motivations between missions.

For the most part, Ultimate Alliance 2 sticks to being a safe sequel in terms of the character's gameplay. However, Ms. Marvel is still just as fun as she was in the first game, but with the new fusion system, experimenting to see which heroes Ms. Marvel works with the best in creating massive superpowered attacks is an additional benefit.

Finally donning her Captain Marvel moniker, Carol Danvers was featured among many heroes and villains in LEGO Marvel's Avengers, which takes after the Marvel Cinematic Universe in terms of its design. Captain Marvel even has her own solo story in LEGO Marvel's Avengers, even if it is a small one. Other than that, it's the standard co-op LEGO game affair with platforming through levels, collecting studs, and experiencing a wholesome adventure for the entire family.

Typically, Marvel games make Captain Marvel into a show-stealing supporting character, but Marvel Future Revolution made her a major player in a multiversal mobile game. As Captain Marvel, or any of the available Marvel heroes, players can engage in quality action-RPG gameplay across a fused version of multiple Earths known as Primary Earth.

While it may have a lot of the same trappings as many other mobile games, Marvel Future Revolution shows that a lot of care and effort was put into the game. Captain Marvel's cosmic abilities lend themselves to delightful combat that is satisfying to level up and upgrade and proves that she is capable of leading a solo adventure game in the future.

However, Carol loves her friends, her world, and the galaxy, and will never give up the fight until her last breath is drawn. As a bonus, she loves her Book Club and has some of the best abilities to use in battle.
