The Thalys is an Incarnon Heavy Scythe in Warframe that comes loaded with all the ideal stats one would look for in a melee weapon. It has the reach, speed, and damage to take on anything in the game, and it has a few special tricks up its sleeves too. The Thalys is easily one of the best melee weapons in Warframe, assuming players know how to take advantage of its strengths.
Much like the Spinnerex, the Thalys needs a good build before it can start clearing entire rooms within seconds. This guide is all about turning the Thalys into a Heavy Attack monster that deals millions of damage even without exploiting elemental weakness.

Best Warframe Heavy Attack Thalys Build
Before diving into the mods, we'll first discuss the Thalys' Evolutions. These are critical to making the build's intended playstyle work. As mentioned, this is a Heavy Attack build, which means it will lean heavily toward building and maintaining the Combo Counter.
- Evolution 2 - Whirling Flurry: Increases Attack Speed by 20%
- Evolution 3 - Nimble Scythe: Slide attacks build +5 Combo Count
- Evolution 4 - Swift Transmute: Reduce Incarnon Form combo requirement to 3x
- Evolution 5 - Chain Shatter: Heavy Attack detonates shards on enemies hit by Thalys and Shard explosions.
With this setup, you'll be able to maximize the uptime of Thalys' Incarnon form while keeping your Combo Count high for Heavy Attack spam. Heavy Attacks will also cause Shards created by Thalys' Incarnon form to burst, dealing an extra splash of AOE damage with every heavy swipe.
Admittedly, the Void Shards that Thalys embeds don't really do much damage against late-game Steel Path enemies. Most of your damage here will come from Heavy Attacks powered by the following mod setup:
- Galeforce Dawn
- Optional Tennokai Mod
- Focus Energy
- Voltaic Strike
- Weeping Wounds
- Galvanized Elementalist
- Condition Overload
- Galvanized Steel
- Blood Rush
- Magnetic Rush
This is a fairly standard Melee Influence build with Condition Overload and Galvanized mods, but it's worth pointing out that Focus Energy is what makes this build so good. When you combine its Heavy Attack Efficiency with Thalys' Nimble Scythe Evolution, you'll be able to constantly keep your Combo Count high by weaving Slide attacks between light attacks and Tennokai triggers.
The higher your Combo level, the stronger your Heavy Attacks become. If you can constantly keep your Combo level at 12x, you'll be able to deal millions of damage with a single Heavy Attack using this build. This Warframe Thalys build is especially strong with Kullervo thanks to his Heavy Attack-related passive. It's also pretty good with Valkyr or any Warframe augmented with Warcry. The faster you attack, the faster your Combo level builds up.
You don't necessarily need Melee Influence to make this build work, but it definitely helps.
