The quality of your gear can spell the difference between success and failure in FBC: Firebreak. The upgraded versions of each weapon are significant improvements over their starting variants, and if you want to upgrade your gear as quickly as possible, you'll need to get a ton of Lost Assets.
Lost Assets are the main form of equipment progression currency in FBC: Firebreak. You'll need them to unlock weapons, upgrades, gear, and cosmetics. However, simply finishing a mission won't be enough if you want to get as many Lost Assets per run as possible. If you want to progress through those Requisition pages fast, you'll need to be thorough when playing.

The Best War Games gets hands-on with Remedy Entertainment's upcoming cooperative first-person shooter FBC: Firebreak.
How to Farm Lost Assets Fast in FBC: Firebreak
The fastest way to get Lost Assets is to do the Hot Fix mission on Containment 1. There's going to be a lot of luck involved, but if fortune does smile upon you during a run, you can expect to get up to 20 Lost Assets every 3-5 minutes.
Hot Fix on Containment 1 is great for farming XP and Lost Assets. This is because the layout of the first section of this job is very straightforward, and it has two Shelters for you to take advantage of. The farming route is simple:
- After exiting the elevator, go to the control room on the left and search for Lost Assets on top of the desks and computers.
- Exit the control room, then open the Shelter. If you're lucky, there should be Lost Assets on the floor, shelves, and desks.
- Fix an objective.
- Jump down into the central area and look for Lost Assets on the terminals.
- Fix another objective.
- Go further into the map sector, then open the next Shelter.
- Fix the next closest objective, if any still remain.
- Return to the elevator and exit the mission.
While maps in FBC: Firebreak aren't randomized, the placement of Lost Assets are. Shelters tend to have upwards of five or more Lost Assets inside them, but this is also subject to RNG. Still, opening every Shelter is worth doing even on normal runs since they serve as respawn points. They also have ammo and grenades, and the faucets inside them can be used to heal up as well.
The best possible scenario you could have is if multiple Powerful Hiss spawn during the mission. One has a high chance of spawning before or after you call the elevator, but others also have a chance to appear before that. Powerful Hiss drop numerous Lost Assets on death, so don't forget to pick those up after you take care of the enemies. Take note that if you die, you drop all the assets you collected.
Use the Jump Kit and the Revolver. The former makes fixing generators faster, while the latter lets you take care of big enemies quickly.
