In a zombie apocalypse, there's nothing that a few thousand high-caliber bullets can't fix, and if you mow down the undead hordes in Marvel Rivals Zombies mode, then the Punisher is the man you're looking for. Khonshu's blessings turn his ordinary guns into weapons of mass destruction that can obliterate hordes and melt bosses like nobody's business. In this Marvel Rivals guide, we'll be going over a quick build for Punisher and his weapon's Adjudication assault rifle mode.
Best Punisher Zombies Build in Marvel Rivals
As a pure ranged character, Punisher relies on overwhelming firepower to gun zombies down before they can reach him, which really isn't that different from normal Punisher gameplay in Marvel Rivals. This would normally be hard to do with just a regular gun, but with the blessings of Khonshu, players can turn Punisher's ordinary rifle into a bullet-spitting, head-seeking death machine. The following build focuses purely on Adjudication, which means completely foregoing any blue blessings.
Abilities
- Relentless Pursuit (Turret)
- Phantom Rush (Zipline)
- Missile Swarm (Ultimate)
Phantom Rush is your most valuable ability, as it gives you both increased movement speed and the ability to ignore unit collision, which means you can pass through zombies when you run through them. The automatic turret is nice, but on Nightmare 3 and 4, they'll get instantly destroyed. Your Ultimate doesn't matter because its damage is much poorer compared to Adjudication (though its damage reduction and lifesteal effects are nice to have in a pinch).
Punisher works best in a group. Let the other players keep zombies away from you so you can focus on dealing damage.
Priority Red Blessings
- Punisher's Upgrade
- Precision Judgment
- Overwhelming Assault
- Deadly Lock-On
- Smart Magazine
- Rapid Reload
- Extended Rifle Magazine
Damage should always be your priority when picking red/blue blessings, and this is true for other characters in Marvel Rivals Zombies. Otherwise, you simply won't be able to keep up against the enemy's health. For Punisher, always try to get 120 red points before the first boss wave in Nightmare difficulty. This will cause your shots to split and ricochet towards other enemies.
The only blessing you can freely ignore here is Extended Rifle Magazine. Once you reach ~2000 bullets, or once you get 120 red blessing points, you can stop taking it in favor of purple blessings. Smart Magazine and Rapid Reload will solve all your ammo issues for you, assuming they appear in your shop.
Priority Purple Blessings
- Power Surge
- Vitality Boost
- Vampiric Vitality
- Moonlight Protection
- Primordial Frost
These four are all you need for any character. Stack Power Surge to intensify your DPS, and Vitality Boost to keep you from getting killed in one hit. Vampiric Vitality is borderline mandatory for fighting bosses (especially when solo). However, it won't do you any favors unless you have high health or get enough damage reduction from Moonlight Protection.
Primordial Frost will give you a slight edge against hordes by giving you a source of crowd control. It's handy in a pinch, but don't expect it to save you all the time unless you get several copies of it.
