Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was a landmark title for Sony ; a cornerstone of the bar of quality established in the seventh console generation that made the publisher an industry leader and comfortably left Microsoft's Xbox playing catch-up. Its release in 2007 spawned a critically acclaimed series of games and a dedicated fanbase to further the PlayStation brand.
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End wrapped up the overarching story in 2016, and the series was put on ice after the spin-off game, The Lost Legacy, the following year. Many fans are still awaiting a revival of the series, but a few PS5 games have been released since then that can somewhat scratch that itch. Consider these great PS5 games that share a common narrative or gameplay structure with the Uncharted games.

It's impossible to ignore the influence the Tomb Raider series had on Uncharted, so Lara deserves her flowers in this recent remaster of the three original Tomb Raider games. It's fair to note this is essentially an upscale collection of games that are the better part of three decades old, and more could have been done to modernize the control scheme. They have been tweaked enough to make them playable for modern audiences who didn't grow up with the PS1 classic, but they are still very much revamped old-school puzzle-platformers.
For that nostalgia hit and good old treasure hunting in lost ruins, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered is a great option, regardless of your familiarity with Lara Croft's earliest adventure. The first game is still and will forever be one of the best adventure games of all time, and it is absolutely dripping in atmosphere. The sequels offer more of the same.
Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered isn't quite as impressive, but you should play it if you enjoy the first compilation.

Many gameplay elements define the Uncharted series, but the thing that really elevated it above its contemporaries was a meaningful story with relatable characters. That lasting legacy in AAA gaming is the key connecting point to Banishers: Ghost of New Eden, which weaves a supernatural tale about grief and moving on.
There's less connective tissue in the gameplay elements, but Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden does successfully set itself apart from other narrative-driven adventure titles as the player conducts investigations around hauntings and ultimately decides whether to banish the ghost or condemn their inhabitants. Although the combat isn't anything to write home about, Don'tnod's strong writing is on full display throughout the campaign.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is the follow-up to A Plague Tale: Innocence, expanding and improving on its predecessor with more stealth-based puzzle action set in the grimdark fantasy world. It's another game that borrows from the slow, compelling narrative format and also blends elements of familiar gameplay.
Environmental puzzles are central to both series, with A Plague Tale: Requiem's often consisting of manipulating light sources to avoid hordes of plague rats. The game also features playable cinematic sequences very reminiscent of Uncharted — in particular, Naughty Dog's trademark running toward the camera as chaos chases from behind.

For Those Who Want An Open-World Uncharted

While Uncharted 4 incorporated a few open zones, Naughty Dog's series never went open-world, which was probably for the best. However, if you want a game from that genre that can scratch a similar itch, Horizon Forbidden West (and its predecessor) is arguably your best bet. Due to its sandbox nature, the campaign moves at a very different pace than Uncharted, and you must be prepared to spend quite a while exploring the world in between story missions.
8 PlayStation Games With The Best Stories, Ranked
The stories in these PlayStation games stick in the minds of players for months or even years after they've seen the credits roll.
As long as you are fine with that, HFW provides third-person action, light platforming, puzzles, gorgeous visuals, and beautiful nature-based environments that are out of this world. While not as focused as Uncharted, Aloy's story is quite good and builds up steam as it moves along.

Even more so than Outlaws, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (along with its predecessor, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order) takes clear inspiration from Naughty Dog's legendary franchise. All the elements are there — puzzle solving, 3D action platforming, compelling narrative, and the aforementioned playable cinematic sequences where chaos ensues.
Jedi: Survivor really feels like an Uncharted game set in the Star Wars universe, with the added benefit of decades of lore and a more complex combat system. Yes, the latter adopts ideas from Soulslikes rather than Nathan Drake, but that is just one piece of the puzzle.

God of War Ragnarok is still one of the best games available on the console. When Sony rebooted the God of War series, they took reference from Uncharted and, especially, The Last of Us, crafting a more mellow and somber tale complete with cinematic high points. God of War Ragnarok puts a prominent focus on puzzle solving, hidden treasure, and storytelling — three of the core tenets to meet the criteria here.
This wasn't simply a one-and-done reboot, though, with God of War Ragnarok bringing plenty of its own brilliant gameplay and combat to the table to stand tall not just as a contemporary but as another core pillar of the PlayStation brand.

This one is almost like cheating. The Last of Us doesn't feel like a PS5 game, but Part 1 is a full-fledged remake that is the definitive version, despite not executing any sweeping changes. While the PS4 remaster and the PS3 original are nearly flawless, it is hard to argue against the remake's improved visuals and enemy AI. Ultimately, if you have already played through Joel and Ellie's story a billion times, then you might not get too much out of the remake; conversely, if you have never played The Last of Us, then Part 1 should be the first game you play from this list.
Showcasing Naughty Dog's stellar character work and writing, The Last of Us is a more somber experience than Uncharted, although it still has moments of levity. Set in a post-apocalyptic United States, Joel must guide the immune Ellie through a zombie-infested world in hopes of finding the Fireflies, who can supposedly create a cure.

Before Uncharted and Tomb Raider, there was Indiana Jones. The good professor is undeniably the most famous fictional archaeologist in history, and he casts a shadow that covers both Lara Croft and especially Nathan Drake. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was the first console Indy game since 2009's The Staff of Kings and Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues, and it is by far the franchise's most ambitious and impressive effort to date. Handled by Wolfenstein's MachineGames, The Great Circle takes you on a globe-trotting adventure that feels completely in line with the classic movies, and it is arguably the best Indiana Jones story in decades.
MachineGames opted to go with a first-person angle, which plays to their strengths and also sets the game apart from Uncharted. However, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is still the perfect alternative to Naughty Dog's franchise, as both properties blend great puzzles, smart action, and well-written dialogue to create an action-adventure epic.
