Personalities are very important in Dragon Quest 3 Remake, as they determine which attributes increase at what rates every time that character levels up. Some personalities may be more difficult to come by than others, and some will be limited to the gender of your character. While there are a few options that are good for each vocation, the following table will show the options in order from best to next best, so try to aim for the first listed personality when you can.

Vocations can also be changed anytime after a character hits level 20, so nothing is set in stone. You can also hire new party members to start leveling them up with your desired personality right from level one if you're interested in trying to make the perfect character.
