Torchlight: Infinite is a free-to-play hack-and-slash dungeon crawler and is the latest installment in the Torchlight franchise. This game follows Torchlight 3 and provides players with a very different experience to what the other games have offered.
Torchlight: Infinite has plenty of ways to buff and progress characters. One such way is through Pactspirits, which are purchased using an in-game currency called Jagged Primocrysts. Pactspirits are by no means necessary, but they can add a few additional buffs. They come in three rarities with Legendary being the best, as it affects the inner, middle and outer rings. Pactspirits come in six categories, each with a few great options to choose from.
1 Attack
Pactspirits in this category boost the player's attack and damage output. For hunters looking to become an even more formidable foe, pactspirits in this category will be the perfect choice. There are three legendary attack pactspirits to choose from.
Red Umbrella
This pactspirit increases attack damage, critical strike, and attack speed. When upgraded, this pactspirit provides pact points and buffs affixes for the outer ring.
Fog Scorpion
This legendary pactspirit affects double attack, attack damage, and multistrike. When upgraded, it will also provide pact points and buff affixes on the outer ring.
Flower Whisperer
This pactspirit increases projectile damage, projectile speed, and critical strike. When upgraded, much like its attack pactspirit companions, Flower Whisperer will provide players with pact points and buff affixes on the outer ring.
2 Spell
Pactspirits in this category affect the player's spellcasting and the efficacy of their spells. The legendary pactspirits in this category will be a great choice for any hunters who prioritize magic-based builds and want to make them even more powerful.
Dreamweaver
Using this pactspirit will increase elemental damage, elemental piercing, and cast speed. It can be upgraded to provide players with more pact points and buff affixes in the outer rings.
The Bone Worm's Daughter
This legendary pactspirit will increase players' mana restoration, spell damage, and critical strike damage. Like to the other legendary pactspirits, upgrading this one will provide hunters with pact points and will buff the affixes in the outer ring.
Starcatcher
This pact spirit increases double spell, spell damage, and cast speed. Its upgrades provide the same benefits as the other legendary pactspirits.
3 Persistent
Pactspirits in the Persistent category are perfect for players who are all about the damage and debuffing their enemies. Those who want to gain an advantage over their enemies and defeat them with ease should look into these legendary persistent pactspirits.
Fire Swordsman
This legendary pactspirit increases DOT (Damage Over Time) damage, the chance for enemies to gain ailments, and damage affliction. It upgrades much like the other legendary pactspirits: players gain pact points and the affixes in the outer ring are buffed.
Firewing
This pactspirit also i ncreases DOT damage, but in addition to that, it increases skill duration and affliction damage. The upgrades for this pactspirit are much the same as the others.
Crossroad Walker
Using this pactspirit increases the chance for the enemy to develop ailments, as well as increasing the damage and duration of said ailments. This pactspirit is a good choice for players that enjoy debuffing their enemies. Upgrading Crossroad Walker will have a similar effect to the other legendary pactspirits.
4 Summon
Pactspirits in the summon category are designed to affect the hunter's summons, making them more effective against foes. For players that use a lot of summons, and feel like they aren't pulling their weight, the legendary pactspirits from this category will be the perfect addition to the loadout.
Mechanical Throne
This legendary pactspirit buffs servants by increasing their damage, speed and life. This is a great choice for players looking to keep their summons in the game longer, so they can deal some harder and faster hits. Upgrades for this pactspirit are much the same as others.
Drapion Lady
This pactspirit increases servant buff, servant cooldown and servant life. This choice of pactspirit may be right for the players who rely pretty heavily on their summons and want to keep them in the fight. Upgrading this pactspirit will provide similar rewards to the other legendary pactspirits: pact points and buffs to the outer ring affixes.
Whisperwind Leaves
Using this pactspirit buffs servants by increasing their damage, speed, and life, similarly to the Mechanical Throne pactspirit. Either of these pactspirits will be great choices for players who use their summons a lot. This pactspirit's upgrades will yield similar effects to the others mentioned.
5 Drops
Pactspirits in this category affect drops and are perfect for all the loot gremlins out there. Hunters looking to build their arsenal for big fights, or simply to get everything in the game, will want to prioritize these legendary drop pactspirits.
The pactspirits in this category are Eternity Summoner, Captain Ghost and Chalk Spirit. All three of these legendary pactspirits will increase drop quantity, making them perfect for players who feel like they can never have enough loot at the end of a fight. Upgrades on these pactspirits are the same as the others: hunters get pact points, and affixes on the outer rings are buffed.
6 Survival
Survival pactspirits are the first that players have access to. The legendary pactspirits in this category are focused on keeping hunters alive through even the toughest fights. These pactspirits may be the perfect choice for players who are always just a little bit worried when their health starts to go down. Upgrading any of these will yield similar effects to other legendary pactspirits.
Spirit Bless
This legendary pactspirit increases max energy shield and mana restoration, and even boosts XP. This is a great choice for players who like having their shields up, use magic, and want a little extra XP. (But let's be honest, who doesn't?)
Anthem
Using this pactspirit will increase max life and mana restoration. It will even mitigate any XP penalties that players obtain through the fight. For players who feel like their health runs out too fast, use magic frequently, and are sick of enemies taking XP, this pactspirit will be the perfect choice.
Preserver Of Eternity
This pactspirit will increase elemental resistance and damage avoidance, and will provide XP protection. For players who want to negate enemy damage and debuffs, choosing this pactspirit will meld perfectly into their playstyle.
Knight Of Pale Blue
Using this legendary pactspirit i ncreases elemental resistance and damage mitigation, and even gives players a bonus to XP. This is similar to the Preserver of Eternity pactspirit but boosts player XP instead of just protecting it. Players willing to sacrifice some to gain some will find this pactspirit suits their needs better.
