His relationship with his classmates does not appear to be strong, as he's not really involved with them as the series progresses. Kouma, one of the few classmates shown, is on a journey to find the rest of them, with the help of Tōma, the antagonist of the story. Unlike the regular classmate betrayal trope where the protagonists come back stronger and seek revenge, the classmates in this anime did not have much to do with the protagonist’s fate. After being transported to another world, some of them were still humans, and some switched to races like Demons and Elves, while the protagonist Kumoko ended up as the weakest spider.
Their lives progressed separately, with Kumoko’s supposedly being the most treacherous as she had to constantly fight her way through the dungeon until she became strong enough. She only came across one of her classmates by chance, nearly devouring her, but decided against it, a decision she later came to be thankful for.
