RPG Leveling And Stats/Skills

This mod turns Hytale into a full-fledged RPG, complete with levels, skills, stats, difficulty scaling, and a whole host of other features. Defeating enemies allows players to earn experience and increase their level. Each level grants more stat points, which can be allocated to Health, Stamina, Mana, Ammo, Oxygen, Stamina Regen, Stamina Consumption, Damage, Mining, Woodcutting, and Defense.

The mod even offers a hardcore mode where, if you die, all your character’s stats are reverted back to their base level, and the level is reset to 1. Configuration options are also available for players who want to customize the experience and implement homebrew rules on their own server.

EyeSpy

EyeSpy is a simple mod that adds a custom HUD to the top left corner of the screen in Hytale that displays the basic information about anything and everything you look at in the game. This lets players know what any given block within their field of vision is made out of, without having to break it down into parts to find out.

Even hidden information, like what Tier a Workbench is or what is inside a chest or storage container, is displayed on the HUD without the player having to interact with those blocks. Since the HUD is off in a corner of the screen, it doesn’t get in the way of regular gameplay either.

BetterMap

BetterMap enhances the map of Hytale in almost every way. It offers smoother map rendering and allows players to place multiple custom waypoints on the map with unique icons and names to mark points of interest, while also adding the ability to teleport to those waypoints from a map marker menu (or from the map directly).

It adds an optional coordinates display on the top left corner of the screen for real-time location monitoring. When playing in co-op, BetterMap can display ally markers on the map and compass or hide them entirely, depending on player preference.

Simply Trash

Simply Trash is a must-have quality-of-life mod that solves one of the most annoying problems in Hytale: destroying items. The mod adds a craftable block called Trash Can that functions as a waste basket that destroys anything you put inside it instantly.

In the base game, the only way to get rid of something in your inventory was to either drop it on the ground and forget about it or use a Salvager’s Workbench to salvage something. However, the Salvager’s Workbench only works for something that is crafted; unprocessed basic materials like wood, grass, and other useless items cannot be destroyed this way. With Simply Trash, all you need to solve that problem is a Trash Can.

Item Magnet

The Item Magnet mod adds a craftable item to Hytale called the Item Magnet that, when equipped, attracts loot in the overworld towards the character, allowing players to gather resources without having to physically pick them up.

The Item Magnet only works when it is equipped, but it can be equipped in the off-hand like a Torch. This comes in very handy when cutting down wood or mining ores in Hytale, as then you can have your tool equipped in your main hand and the magnet in your off-hand.

Gone Fishing

In Hytale, there is no proper fishing minigame for players to enjoy. The only thing you can do to interact with fish in the current version of the game is to set down fishing traps on water or manually hit swimming fish with a weapon. The Gone Fishing mod adds a simple fishing rod minigame to Hytale.

The way it works is simple: players craft a fishing rod at a Workbench using Sticks and Linen Scrap, go near a body of water, throw the fishing line in the water, and wait for fish to bite. If one does, the fishing line is dragged under the water, signaling that you can reel it in and catch it using right-click.

Multitools

The Multitools mod adds a two-in-one tool to Hytale that combines the properties of both a Pickaxe and a Hatchet into one, allowing players to chop down trees, break down blocks, and mine ores all with a single tool, freeing up the hotbar for other items.

The Multitool comes in multiple tiers, in line with the default progression in Hytale, is costlier to make compared to other tools, and has durability loss, just like any other item in the game. It is a quality-of-life upgrade that doesn’t break the balance of the game while still improving the experience.
