Prototype is one of the most chaotic superhero games to ever release. As Alex Mercer, players are cursed with a virus that gives them morphing abilities. Vampyr takes place in the early 1900s and, as the title suggests, centers on vampires. Players are a doctor, Jonathan, who gets bitten by a vampire, but decides to continue being a doctor to help people. Instead, they can still care for their patients, but more in the way a farmer cares for his cattle, in the sense that players can take care of humans to feed off them. The more Jonathan feeds, the stronger he will become, giving players an incentive to be heartless.
