Legendary items are extremely valuable in Borderlands 4, and if you're having trouble getting some, try these spots out.

Best Early Location to Farm XP in Borderlands 4

Borderlands 4 Best Early XP Farm Location

One of the best locations to farm XP and level up fast in Borderlands 4 is located in The Howl region of Fadefields. It's a little farmstead just west of Horace's Oversight that players can go to, right after finishing the tutorial.

Borderlands 4 Best Early XP Farm The Howl

There's a pit (of sorts) at the back of the house that you can enter and start killing some Calfhorns inside for some XP.

Borderlands 4 XP Farm Eliminate Calfhorn

Once you eliminate all the Calfhorns, another wave will spawn and start running around. It's best to use shotguns to one-shot the Calfhorns and farm XP quicker. The Calfhorns will keep spawning for unlimited waves until players step out of the pit.

Borderlands 4 XP Farm Complete Challenges

While you level up, be sure to keep an eye on your combat challenges in Borderlands 4, which will require you to perform different actions with weapons to complete them. You can hit two birds with one stone by completing these while hunting Calfhorns in the pit to gain additional XP and exclusive gear.

Borderlands 4 XP Farm Loot Cave

Alongside XP, the eliminated Calforns also drop weapons of various rarities on the ground, making it a loot cave as well. If you want to quickly earn some money as well, you can pick up the useless loot as trash and keep selling it to a vending machine nearby.

Ultimately, you'll farm loads of XP and level up faster, get tons of loot, make crazy money off selling useless items, and complete your combat challenges as well. This will put you in a far better position to take on tougher foes in Borderlands 4.

Other Ways to Farm XP & Level Up Fast in Borderlands 4

While the location mentioned above is great for farming XP, it's not the best method to help you level up faster in Borderlands 4. Here are a few other ways you can quickly get XP and a ton of loot.

  • Farm Replayable Missions: Main story missions are a great way to get a ton of XP and loot for your character. A lot of them can be replayed, which makes them a great way to gather XP and level up quickly.
  • Complete Bounties: Players can spot a bounty board in faction and safe houses that showcase bounties via a hologram. It's recommended to complete these bounties to get quick XP. Keep a lookout for Vile bounties (purple holograms), as they give out the most XP, and loot in Borderlands 4.
  • Farming Bosses: You can replay boss encounters via the Encore machine right before a boss room. This is a great way to farm XP and legendary weapon that a boss might drop.
