Summary
- Temtem is an MMO indie game with unique elemental types and an emphasis on player interaction and battling.
- Digital type Temtems like 0b10 and Molgu have specific, beneficial traits and good stats for battling.
- Finding and evolving Temtems like Cycrox, Hoglip, and Tuwire can enhance a player's team's power and versatility.
Throughout the years, indie game developers have relied on Kickstarter to get their projects up and running. Games like Banner Saga and Undertale are among the best Indie games, and all started as Kickstarters. Temtem is another Indie game that has its start as a Kickstarter but managed to release a couple of years later. And while this Indie game may seem like another Pokemon clone, it has several unique features that make it special.
10 Best Toxic Type Temtem (& Where To Find Them)
With so many types of Temtem for trainers to catch, let's look at some of the best Toxic-type and where players can find them
And the most significant difference Temtem compared to Pokemon is that it's an MMO at its core, meaning players can interact and battle with other players while exploring the islands of the Airborne Archipelago. Another notable difference is the different element types players can use in Temtem, from Crystal to Nature. Digital type is another unique Temtem type that players should consider including in their team as it's effective against several other types (Mental, Melee, and Digital).
Updated on January 24, 2025, by Mehrdad Khayyat: Digital is one of the unique types in Temtem that comes with different rules compared to other types. The strength of a Digital creature is that its techniques are never ineffective, no matter what type of creature is put against it, though they are superbly effective against Mental, Digital, and Melee types.
This also reveals that Digital is the only type that is a nemesis of its own. Aside from that, Digitals are also vulnerable to Electric and Water types. The only thing that this type is resistant to is Toxicity.
9 Halzhi
Overall Stat: 312
- Halzhi can be found in Rice Fields, Cipanku.
Halzhi was one of the first Digital type Temtem to have appeared on the islands of the Airborne Archipelago. This Digital Temtem has decent Attack (56) and HP (52) base stats that will aid players in battling other players. But, the most notable feature Halzhi has is its Temtem Traits, Parrier and Neutrality. Its first Trait (Parrier) decreases the damage a Temtem receives during a battle, while its second Trait (Neutrality) prevents any negative status conditions.
But, once players evolve Halzhi into Molgu, these Traits change, so players should consider using Halzhi as much as they can before letting it evolve. Players can find this Digital type Temtem on the island of Cipanku near the Rice Fields Route (a great area to find Nature type Temtem as well). There's a 60% chance of a Normal Halzhi spawning in this area, but the odds for a Luma version (Shiny version) are much lower.
8 Chubee
Overall Stat: 328
- Chubee can be found in Pillars of Highabove, Cipanku.
As the name may imply, Chubee has one of the highest base HP and Defense of all unevolved Wind and Digital Temtems, meaning it's the perfect tank ally. Aside from its high Defense, Chubee can use the Technique "Shy Shield" to further increase its base Defense or their allies. Chubee's first Trait "Hover," makes Earth-type Techniques deal 50% less damage, while its secondary Trait adds its positive stat stage changes to the ally once knocked out.
But, players should aim to evolve Chubee to Waspeen (Level 15) as soon as possible since it gains the Trait Royal Jelly, which restores 5% of Max HP at the start of every turn. Players can catch Chubee at the Pillars of Highabove route in Cinpanku.
7 Hoglip
Overall Stat: 383
- Hoglip can be found in Pillars of Highabove, Cipanku.
Players who want to take their PVP team to a new level will want to include Hoglip since it has the highest base Special Attack among unevolved Digital and Fire type Temtem. So, Techniques like Cyberclaw (80) and Fire Tornado (145) will be able to dish out a lot more damage. But, despite Hoglip's impressive stats, its primary Trait isn't as useful as it would seem since it only changes its very low, low, and normal priority Techniques to high priority.
Fortunately, once a player evolves Hoglip to Hedgine (Level 13), they'll learn the Trait "Going Away Gift," which can come in handy during certain battles since it adds the Temtem's positive stat stage changes to an ally. Players can encounter Hoglip at the Pillars of Highabove route (60% encounter chance) in Cipanku.
6 Cycrox
Overall Stat: 447
-
Cycrox can be found in the following locations:
- Cipanku: The Highbelow?, Rice Fields, Sacred Lake
Cycrox is a dual-type Temtem (Digital & Toxic) that excels in Special Attack and Defense. And because of its dual type, Cycrox is effective against Water, Nature, Mental, and Digital, making it the ideal Temtem to use while exploring the Aguamarina Caves (home to many Water-type Temtem). Cycrox also has two valuable Traits that may come in handy in certain situations. The first Trait is Neurotoxins (exclusive to Cycrox) that transform the Poison status effect into the Doom status effect (after a certain number of turns, the Temtem affected by Doom will faint).
Its second Trait (Water Synthesizer) makes Cycrox entirely immune to Water-type attacks. And if a rival player or wild Temtem would use a Water-type attack against Cycrox, it'll heal based on the damage it would have received. Players can find this Temtem at the Rice Fields or Sacred Lake routes on the Cipanku island.
5 0b10
Overall Stat: 474
- 0b10 cannot be found and tamed in the wilderness.
- Players can find and tame a 0b1 in Pillars of Highabove, Cipanku, and then evolve it into 0b10 after 15 levels.
While most Digital Temtems are quite weak against Electric creatures, 0b10 has raised with both of these types, which is why it receives Electric damage with a multiplier of 1, instead of 2 or 4. The creature comes with good SPD (78) and STA (76) stats, along with a decent resistance to Special attacks.
The 8 Best Mental Type Temtem (& Where To Find Them)
Mental type Temtem are strong fighters and have a wide range of abilities and effects that players can use to their advantage. These are best ones.
Overall, it's a fairly balanced Temtem that benefits from two buff-focused traits. With Source Replicated, whenever 0b10 has any of the Alerted, Evading, Invigorated, Regenerated, or Immune conditions, it can duplicate and apply them to an ally. The Target Replicator does the same as well, but vice versa. It duplicates any of the aforementioned conditions from an ally and applies them to 0b10.
4 Archanyte
Overall Stat: 457
- Archanyte can be found in Braeside Castle, Arbury.
Specialized in dealing damage through Special attacks and protecting itself against the same damage source, Archanyte has Neutral and Digital natures, which helps it receive half the damage from creatures of similar types. The only shortcoming of this Temtem, however, is that it's too slow.
10 Best Melee Type Temtem (& Where To Find Them)
Players interested in finding the best Melee-type Temtem can find them here!
Archanyte delivers two exclusive traits: Digi-Protection and Adaptive. The former comes with a nerf to ally but a buff to holder! It reduces the damage of the ally's Digital Techniques by 30%, but also reduces the incoming Digital Technique damage to Archanyte by 75%. So, it's best to not pair this creature with another Digital type.
The other trait, Adaptive, is also a complicated one. The first time that Archanyte is targeted by a Technique, Adaptive reads the type of that Technique and makes it Archanyte's secondary type.
3 Molgu
Overall Stat: 454
- Molgu cannot be found and tamed in the wilderness.
- Players can find and tame a Halzhi in Rice Fields, Cipanku, and then evolve it into Molgu after 16 levels.
Being the evolution of Halzhi, this creature is just proof of Halzhi's importance in the Digital category. Being a tanky unit, Molgu comes with an HP of 82 and an ATK rate of 84, which makes it pretty strong when the player wants to deal physical damage to the opponents.
None of Molgu's traits are exclusive, but they are quite protective of it against conditions and status effects. The Splitter trait makes Molgu immune to Poisoned, Burned, Asleep, Cold, Trapped, Frozen, Exhausted, Isolated, and Seized conditions, while also granting the creature an Invigorated condition for 2 turns whenever the trait turns active.
The second trait, Sentinel, prevents the holder and its ally from being affected by the Asleep condition, removing an already affected ally whenever Molgu enters the battlefield.
2 Tuwire
Overall Stat: 458
- Tuwire cannot be found and tamed in the wilderness.
- Players can find and tame a Tuwai, and then evolve it into Tuwire at the Digital Kami Shrine.
-
Tuwai can be found in the following locations:
- Arbury: Chieftain's Barrow
- Tucma: Sons of Crystal
- Deniz: Dabmis' Rest
- Kisiwa: Aisha's Heart
- Cipanku: Digital Kami Shrine
- Omninesia: Altar of the Inner Flame
Tuwai is the equivalent of Eevee from the Pokemon franchise since it can evolve into six different type-specific evolutions. And one of its evolutions is Tuwire, a Wind and Digital type Temtem. Tuwire has high base Stamina (70) and Attack (79), making it a powerful single-target Temtem. Moreover, Tuwire's first Trait (Splitter) prevents all negative status conditions from Physical or Special Techniques.
But, its second Trait (Common Factor) is the real star of the show since it places the Nullify status effect upon entering the battle on all rival Temtem's for two turns, meaning all of their resistances and weaknesses are bypassed (perfect counter to Neutral type Temtem). Players can already get a Tuwai at the start of the game, but in order to evolve it to Tuwire, they'll need to travel to the Digital Kami Shrine on the island of Cipanku.
1 Loatle
Overall Stat: 467
- Loatle cannot be found and tamed in the wilderness.
- Players must find a Pupoise from Rice Fields in Cipanku and evolve it after 18 levels to obtain Loatle.
Loatle might not be perfect in dealing Physical damage to opponents, but it comes with a good ATK rating of 75, and a massive HP load of 86. The creature is not the type to be used for or against Special attacks. Knowing that both Mental and Digital types are weak against Electric, Loatle should never be placed against other Digital or Electric creatures as the incoming damage will multiply in 4.
That being said, Loatle comes with two smart traits that leave a long-lasting effect after its death. The Seppuku trait inflicts Doomed to the entire opponent team for 4 turns after Loatle overexerts. The Voodoo trait, on the other hand, applies the effects of a negative status condition to an opponent's partner, if the condition originates from Loatle.
