The Black Friday 2017 shopping bonanza is almost upon us as retailers apply heavy discounts to video games and consoles. Retailers like Walmart have already revealed their Black Friday offers and now Best Buy has followed suit, confirming that major savings will be available in its stores too.
Best Buy's big money savings are its console discounts. On the Sony side of things, the 1TB model of the PS4 Slim is on offer for $200 (with no games included). The PlayStation VR Gran Turismo Sport bundle is discounted to $300 and DualShock 4 controllers are also discounted to $40 each, including the Crystal Red DualShock 4 which is exclusive to Best Buy.
And there is a range of Xbox One S discounts too. The Xbox One S 500GB Forza Horizon 3 Hot Wheels bundle will be available for $230, as will the Xbox One S 500GB Madden NFL 18 bundle. Best Buy's Black Friday ad (which can be seen below) also explains that these particular Xbox One S 500GB bundles come with a free wireless Xbox One controller too. It's worth noting that Best Buy is also discounting standalone Xbox One controllers, as these will cost just $40 each.
For those who aren't in the market for a new console and just want to save money on individual games, then Best Buy's Black Friday deals have that covered too. These include some of the biggest and most-talked-about video game releases of the year:
- South Park: The Fractured But Whole
- Assassin's Creed Origins
- Forza Motorsport 7
- Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus
- Call of Duty: WW2
- NBA 2K18
- Destiny 2
- Overwatch: Game of the Year
- Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
- Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
- Injustice 2
- Horizon Zero Dawn
Best Buy's Black Friday discounts on individual games range from $15 to $40. More recent releases such as Call of Duty: WW2 are going for $40, naturally, but it's still a solid way to save some money on new game purchases.
Black Friday 2017 is shaping up to be a good one for gamers, as so many retailers are slashing the prices of their gaming goods. Target is another retailer offering cut-price games, for example, while other major retailers such as Amazon have confirmed savings too.
Many more Black Friday ads will be revealed in the lead up to the big shopping event and these will promise huge discounts as wel. Watch this space for more information.
