It is no secret that ever since its release early this year, Resident Evil Village became one of the biggest horror games in 2021. Shortly after gamers were able to return to the world of survival horror, Capcom revealed that, due to popular demand, Resident Evil Village is set to get a DLC expansion. Fans are waiting for more news on that still, but there are some who still need to play the base game.

For the uninitiated, Resident Evil Village is the latest mainline installment in the long-running survival horror franchise. The game follows the story of Ethan Winters several years after Resident Evil 7 and revolves around his search for his daughter Rose, who was kidnapped and brought to a mysterious village. Luckily for players who still haven't purchased Resident Evil Village, Walmart has already released its Black Friday ad, giving players a sneak peek at all the fantastic deals available from console bundles, games, gaming accessories, and more.

According to Walmart's Black Friday 2021 ad, the retailer will start offering deals on November 22 online and November 26 in-store. Walmart will also offer a wide plethora of PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X games at varying prices. The upcoming sale includes Resident Evil Village, and Walmart's ad revealed that the Xbox Series X version of the game would be available for $20, or 66% off its original price of $59.99. Notably, while only the Xbox Series X version is shown, the fine print mentions this deal as available for these games across PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch (likely where applicable).

Currently, Walmart offers Resident Evil Village at a discount for the PS5 and Xbox Series X for $49.94. On the other hand, the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game are available for $39.99 or $10 cheaper than their next-gen counterparts. Unfortunately, the latest Walmart Black Friday ad didn't show the price of Resident Evil Village for the PS4 and Xbox One, but it will likely be the same price as next-gen, if not cheaper.

It is still unknown when Capcom plans to release the upcoming DLC for Resident Evil Village announced at E3 2021. While many thought that the content expansion would be released this Halloween, Capcom remained silent on its development. Given this, Resident Evil Village's DLC may be released at the end of the year or early 2022 at the latest. It is also unknown whether the expansion will be free, but it is worth remembering that Resident Evil 7 released both free and paid additional content.

Resident Evil Village is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
